Best-of list

Best photographers in Hollywood, FL (2026)

For Hollywood hotels, vacation rentals, restaurants, offices and events, our pick is Mark Studios: Mark photographs on location anywhere in the city, can film video on the same visit, and edits every image in house, with a written quote for each shoot. Need headshots for a whole firm, or a studio for an afternoon? The first two groups below cover both: Chris Headshots publishes per-person rates for photographing a team at your office, Simona Solomon’s studio headshots start at $189, and Studio Momenty on Harrison Street rents its room for $65 an hour.

How this list works: Mark Studios publishes it and ranks its own service, so this is not an independent review. Every other option’s facts come from its own site, with the date we checked (how we compared).

Our pick

Mark Studios is our pick for Hollywood hotels, offices, events and weddings.

Most Hollywood shoots happen where the business already is: a rental a block from the Broadwalk, a dining room on Hollywood Boulevard, a law office where every partner should be lit the same way, a festival night at ArtsPark. Mark Studios brings the camera to each of those and edits the whole set as one studio. It doesn’t run family, maternity or couples sessions, and it has no studio to visit; the groups below cover both.

  • Rooms, plates, people and events. Hotels and vacation rentals with the interior and the ocean both exposed, restaurants and bars, storefronts and products, events and festivals at ArtsPark, downtown and private venues, and weddings by the water.
  • Team headshots at your office. One portrait setup, brought to your office, so every attorney, agent or staff member matches the rest of the team.
  • You work directly with Mark. Top Rated on Fiverr, a 4.9★ rating, 8,000+ orders and 99% on-time delivery, with video of the same shoot when you need it.

Photographing in Hollywood: what to plan for.

Four things that decide whether a Hollywood shoot runs to plan, from the City of Hollywood, Film Lauderdale and the FAA, all read October 23, 2026.

  1. Public property needs a film permit, filed through Film Lauderdale

The City of Hollywood’s film permit page says a permit is needed for any film, video or still photography shoot on a public right-of-way or other public property in the city. Applications go through Film Lauderdale, Broward County’s film commission, and the city’s Office of Communications, Marketing and Economic Development approves or declines each one. The city wants the application and a certificate of insurance at least five working days before the shoot, with at least $1 million of general liability and the City of Hollywood as certificate holder, and depending on the shoot it may charge park usage, parking, generator or fire inspection, and police detail fees. Film Lauderdale charges no permit fee of its own and publishes a step-by-step guide for family portrait photographers, which asks them to give each session its own project name in the permit system.

  2. Hollywood Beach and the Broadwalk have their own rules

The city’s beach rules keep pets off the beach and the Broadwalk, ban skateboards and motorized scooters on the Broadwalk and tables of any kind on the sand, cap open canopies at 10 feet a side, and ask visitors not to use balloons, which rules out a few favorite props. Single-use plastic and foam are banned on the beach, in city parks and at permitted events, according to its special event page. From March 1 to October 31, sea turtle nesting season, Film Lauderdale’s standard beach conditions allow no lights on the sand before sunrise or after sunset and keep tripod legs to six inches deep, so plan a golden-hour session rather than a flash-lit one after dark.

  3. Beach weddings and events are booked with the city

A ceremony on the sand needs the city’s beach wedding permit: reservations are for daylight hours only, sites are limited to the beach north of Sheridan Street and south of Hollywood Boulevard, and the non-refundable application fee is $272.71 plus tax if you apply more than 60 days out or $393.86 plus tax inside 60 days. The couple sets up and removes everything, since the city rents no equipment. Other events on the sand, a race on the Broadwalk, a downtown event or a night at the ArtsPark amphitheater go through a special event permit instead, with an application fee of $363.44 plus tax at 90 days or more, $515.01 plus tax at 45–89 days, and a 30% discount for nonprofits.

  4. Drones share the sky with two towered airports

The FAA’s airport records list Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International with a control tower open 24 hours and Class C airspace frequencies, and North Perry, 5 miles west of Hollywood, with a tower open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Film Lauderdale’s drone page won’t add a drone to a permit without written FAA clearance, and asks for the pilot’s license, proof of recency if it was issued more than 24 months before the shoot, the drone’s registration, and LAANC approval for flights in Class B, C, D or E airspace at or below 400 feet. The FAA accepts LAANC requests up to 90 days ahead and typically answers in near real time at the altitudes on its facility maps; Estate Shutter FL’s Hollywood page adds that the approved ceiling changes from street to street.

Mark Studios is a founder-led studio in Palm Beach County, Florida, and Hollywood falls inside its Broward County service area; it also photographs across Palm Beach and Martin counties. There’s no studio to visit and no Hollywood office: the shoot comes to your hotel, rental, restaurant, venue, office or home. In Hollywood that means rooms, amenities and views for booking sites, lit so the interior and the ocean both read; dishes, drinks and the room for menus, delivery apps and social; guests, performers and sponsors at ArtsPark, downtown and private venues; ceremonies, portraits and receptions by the water; matching headshots and team photos from one setup at your office; and storefronts, staff and products along Hollywood Boulevard. Every image is selected, retouched and sized for web and print before delivery, and video of the same visit shares the look. The most recent shoot we’ve published is the Sovereign Self-Defense Keep America Armed gala in July 2026, in the ballroom at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, which Mark Studios photographed and filmed before cutting the highlight reel, What Patriotism Looks Like in 2026. Closer to Hollywood, in February 2024 it filmed and photographed a Deerfield Beach wedding, from the first look and the ceremony by the ocean through the reception, and delivered four films and the edited photos. Site figures: 10,000+ projects delivered, 4,500+ reviews, Top Rated on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating, and 99% on-time delivery.

On our reviews page, Samantha Borgos of Sovereign Self-Defense, whose gala it photographed and filmed, puts it this way: “It has completely changed the way that we do business.”

Pros

  • Rental, hotel and restaurant interiors exposed for the room and the view
  • One portrait setup carried to your office, so a whole team matches
  • Stills and video from the same visit, edited by one studio

Good to know

  • Not a family-portrait studio: no family, maternity, newborn or couples sessions (see the family and beach portraits note)
  • Priced by quote; no published photo prices
  • No walk-in studio; every shoot is on location (studios are in the photo studios group)
  • No published delivery time for photos; your quote sets it

Scope from our Hollywood photographer and Broward County photography pages; the gala is on our event videography page, the wedding on our wedding videography and photography page, and the quote on our reviews page.

Stated delivery
Proofs within 72 hours, final edits within 3 weeks; corporate groups within 6 weeks

Chris Headshots is the studio of Chris Hedlund, who works out of Loft954 Studios in Fort Lauderdale and takes his lights to offices and events; the group page says the team shoots on location throughout Florida and charges a $200 travel and setup fee in South Florida. For a firm that wants every attorney or agent to match, its six-light Signature setup gives each person a 30-minute session, priced per head by group size: $450 for one to four people, $250 for five to ten, $225 for 11 to 50 and $175 for 51 or more. A faster basic setup, with five to ten minutes each and a five-person minimum, runs from $150 a head down to $55 for groups over 50. Everyone gets online proofing, a download and one retouched image, extra retouches are $45, and corporate clients receive their photos within six weeks, or 10–20 business days for groups over 100.

For one person, its rates page lists a 30-minute basic headshot with two looks at $450, an hour with five looks at $650 and a $300 session for realtors with an active license, though the homepage still shows $400 and $600; makeup is $150 a look and hair $130, and a 50% deposit holds the date. Proofs come within 72 hours and final edits within three weeks.

Pros

  • Per-person team rates published by group size
  • Comes to your office anywhere in South Florida
  • Hair and makeup offered with the session

Cons

  • Its homepage and rates page list different studio prices
  • A $200 travel and setup fee for on-site work

Dov Gurewicz has filmed and photographed around South Florida since 2017. His homepage bills him as a Hollywood, FL videographer and photographer, his photography FAQ names Hollywood, Miami and Fort Lauderdale as home base, and his studio is a short drive west in Davie, with one room set up for podcasts and interviews and another with a green screen. On the photo side he shoots headshots and portraits in that studio or on location, along with business and real estate, products, food, events and drone work, and clients can book photos and video together so one shoot day covers both. His Hollywood work includes projects for Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory and for Shorashim, a youth center in the city. He directs every project and shoots most of them himself; a lower-cost option puts a vetted crew on the ground, directed and edited by him, and he asks for your budget in the first message. Prices aren’t published.

Pros

  • Photos and a film from one person
  • Headshots in a studio or at your location
  • Drone photography in house

Cons

  • No published prices or delivery times
  • His studio is in Davie, not Hollywood

Her own site places the studio two ways: the FAQ says it is in downtown Hollywood and a press item recalls its opening on Harrison Street, while the footer gives a Fort Lauderdale studio address and the homepage title says Fort Lauderdale. Her rates page starts with a 30-minute in-studio headshot at $189, with one outfit and one edited photo, then a 45-minute on-site headshot at $335 and a one-hour deluxe session with up to five outfits and four retouched images at $425. For teams of five or more she sets up a studio at your office, with one look, a 15-minute session and one edited photo per person, at group rates she quotes. How we put the Hollywood list together.

Mark Studios is our pick, and we wrote this list. No provider paid to be listed. Our shoots are quoted per project.

Who's included
We searched on October 23, 2026 for Hollywood headshot, team-headshot, photo-studio, family and beach, and real estate photographers, and read Thumbtack’s Hollywood category pages, Giggster’s Hollywood listings and Film Lauderdale’s studio directory for names. We kept providers based in Hollywood, or close by with prices or work that cover it, whose own site spells out what a session or a rental includes: three headshot photographers, a downtown studio you can book or rent, a production campus, two listing-photo companies and two marketplaces. We found no Hollywood-based family photographer with a working site of their own and session details beyond Elegant Photographics, so the family group is a note pointing to the two providers here who photograph families. We dropped Krushot Photography, which Thumbtack’s Hollywood headshot page lists under Fort Lauderdale but whose site now says it is based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland; Candid Studios, whose Fort Lauderdale headshot page answered with a security checkpoint (HTTP 429) every time we tried on October 23; Peerspace, whose Hollywood studio page loaded once and then refused our checks (HTTP 403); Before & After Hours Photography, a Thumbtack pro in Hollywood whose domain forwards to a link-in-bio page with no session details; NK4354 Studios and Elevate Your Travels, listed in Hollywood on Thumbtack but presenting themselves on their own sites as Miami businesses; an Airbnb Hollywood Beach photo listing priced per guest whose guest rules require everyone to be 18 or older, which rules out most families; and Duke of Nassau and Carlos F Mendez Photography, which appear in directories as Hollywood headshot and portrait photographers but have no site we could find. Fash and Bark are directories.
What we checked
On October 23, 2026 we read each provider’s own pages for where it is based, what it shoots or rents, published prices, what a session includes and stated delivery, and the City of Hollywood, Film Lauderdale and FAA pages for the planning notes. Where a provider’s own pages disagree, as Chris Headshots’ and Simona Solomon’s do, we say so.
How it's ordered
By what you’re booking: headshots and teams; photo studios to book or rent; family and beach portraits (a note); hotels, rentals and real estate; a note on weddings; then a marketplace. Alphabetical inside each group, except that Giggster, a marketplace, comes last among the studios. Mark Studios is listed first as our pick; the others are not ranked against each other, and there are no scores.
What the data says

A 30-minute studio headshot near Hollywood costs $189 with Simona Solomon, from $249 at Studio Momenty and $450 at Chris Headshots, and a team photographed at the office runs $55 to $450 a person at Chris Headshots, depending on group size and the setup, plus its travel fee. Studio space is priced by the hour: $65 on Harrison Street, against a $195 hourly average across Giggster’s 80 Hollywood listings. Listing photos start at $199. For how a hotel, office, event or wedding shoot with Mark works in the city, see our Hollywood photographer page; for video, videographer in Hollywood.

Do I need a permit for a photo shoot on Hollywood Beach or the Broadwalk?

Often, yes. The City of Hollywood requires a film permit for any film, video or still photography shoot on a public right-of-way or other public property, filed through Film Lauderdale at least five working days ahead with a $1 million liability certificate naming the city. Film Lauderdale charges no permit fee and publishes a guide for family portrait photographers, though the city may charge park, parking or police fees. A ceremony on the sand also needs the city’s beach wedding permit. Ask whether your photographer handles the paperwork.

How much is a beach wedding permit in Hollywood, FL?

The City of Hollywood’s non-refundable application fee is $272.71 plus tax if you apply more than 60 days before the date, or $393.86 plus tax inside 60 days. Reservations are for daylight hours only, on the sand north of Sheridan Street or south of Hollywood Boulevard, and you set up and remove everything yourself. Mark Studios photographs and films Hollywood weddings.

No. Mark Studios photographs Hollywood businesses, rentals, events and weddings, including the family groups at a wedding, but it doesn’t run family, maternity, newborn or couples sessions. In Hollywood, Elegant Photographics publishes family prices: $175 for a 15-minute family mini, from $299 for a 30-minute beach session and from $299 for a newborn session. Can a drone photograph my Hollywood property?

Usually, with planning. Two airports with control towers are close by: Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International and North Perry, which the FAA places 5 miles west of Hollywood. In controlled airspace a pilot needs FAA LAANC approval, which the FAA accepts up to 90 days ahead and typically grants in near real time. For a permitted shoot, Film Lauderdale also wants the pilot’s license, the drone’s registration and written FAA clearance before a drone goes on the permit.
