Case Study · Executive-performance consultancy

A brand video series built from nothing but a voiceover

A clinician running an executive-performance consultancy had a framework, his own voice and no footage. We locked the look on one video, wrote it down as rules, and built the series from his voiceover alone.

  • Client: an executive-performance consultancy, run by a clinician
  • Work: short brand videos in one locked style
  • When: July 2026

The work, on the screen

The opening of the video that locked the style. Every rule the series follows came from the client’s notes on this cut: stark white text with slow fades only, dark abstract b-roll, and nothing that bounces.

The style-setting video: opening 32 seconds Built from the client’s voiceover alone · approved as the template for the series

The problem

The client had a framework for executives and needed a run of short videos to carry it. His worry was being mistaken for everyone else: he told us it had to look different, or he’d get lumped in with other coaches and influencers.

He knew what he didn’t want: flashy templates, bouncing captions, anything that looked like a corporate brochure. What he did want was harder to put into words, and he said so. He had no reference videos, just his own voiceover.

What we did

  • Locked the look on one video first. We didn’t guess across the whole series. We built one video, and he reacted to real cuts with timestamped notes. Each note became a written rule: stark white text with slow fades only, dark abstract b-roll, a heartbeat under a low ambient bed, and the same closing card and sign-off every time. His own phrase for what he wanted was “clinical minimalism.”
  • Built every video from the voiceover alone. He recorded, and we handled the rest: pacing, scenes, b-roll, on-screen text, sound design and the final mix. There was no shoot, no footage to chase and no waiting on anyone.
  • Checked for how he actually watches. He reviews on his phone speaker, so every mix had to hold up there. Before the main batch went out, we read every on-screen word letter by letter and re-timed about 120 captions so each line lands on the word it belongs to.
  • Turnaround. Once the look was approved, ten more videos cleared QA within four days, and six more were rendered three days after that.

The result

When he approved the style-setting video, he wrote back that it was “very good” and that they had “achieved the overall vibe.” From then on, the series was a production job, not a creative debate.

The videos were one part of a bigger build. For the same client we also made his brand website and a landing page, designed a printed workbook, and produced the print and ebook editions of his book.

What the client said

“Now we replicate and keep going.”

What this shows

If you have a voice and a point of view but no footage, we can build a consistent series from your recordings, lock the look with you once, and then produce at pace. It suits coaches and consultants and course creators who record well but don’t want to be on camera every week.
