Best-of list

Best Creatorly Media alternatives in 2026

Creatorly Media books editing into monthly retainers, from $850 for two videos after a $450 paid trial, and sells Shorts as a separate $1,800 retainer. If you'd rather judge an editor on your own footage first, or get Shorts and channel strategy from one place, our pick is Mark Studios: plans from $750 a month, and Mark edits one recording free.

Read this as a vendor’s list: Mark Studios wrote it and put its own service first. Each other provider’s prices, turnaround and terms come from its own website, dated (how we compared). Some Fiverr links are affiliate links, so we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no cost to you.

Our pick

Mark Studios is the best Creatorly Media alternative for most creators.

Creatorly pairs you with a fellow creator on a fixed weekly calendar, paid a month ahead. Mark Studios keeps the monthly rhythm, lets you see your own footage edited before you spend anything, and puts Shorts and thumbnails in the same plan.

  • A free first edit, not a $450 trial. Send one recording you already have, up to 15 minutes of footage, and Mark edits it free. The cheapest way into Creatorly is its $450 Signature trial edit.
  • Shorts without a second retainer. Creatorly’s Short-Form Cut is a separate $1,800 monthly package with an 8-video minimum. Mark Studios’ $2,000 Growth plan cuts 8 Shorts from your 4 weekly videos and adds 4 thumbnails, titles and SEO.
  • Strategy when you’re ready for it. Creatorly’s services page sells editing only. Mark Studios also runs YouTube strategy and full channel management, each scoped and quoted as a fixed fee, so the growth plan and the edits come from the same studio.

The baseline

What Creatorly Media sells, and why creators look elsewhere

Creatorly Media is a YouTube editing agency founded by creator Katie Steckly, who began freelancing in 2018. Most of its editors run channels of their own, and each client is paired with one of them. On October 25, 2026 its services page offered two ways in: a trial edit at $450 for the Signature Cut or $600 for the Director’s Cut, then a retainer. Signature retainers are $850 a month for two videos or $1,700 for four. Director’s Cut retainers, which add motion graphics, dynamic zooms and more b-roll, are $1,150 or $2,300. Short-form is its own retainer at $1,800 a month for at least eight vertical videos.

The Signature package covers more than the cut: a thumbnail, the YouTube title and description, and the finished video uploaded to your channel, ready for you to schedule. Retainer clients also get a monthly check-in call with their editor and a library of creator resources. The calendar is fixed. Footage goes in by noon Eastern on your booked Monday, a rough cut comes back for notes by Thursday, and the final reaches your channel by the end of Friday. Edits you don’t use in a month are lost, because the editor’s time was set aside for you.

Creatorly is candid about who it doesn’t suit: occasional uploaders, anyone not ready for a regular schedule, and one-off projects. Add the paid trial, the separate Shorts retainer and the absence of any strategy or channel-management service on its services page, and you have the usual reasons creators compare it with the options below. Its pricing-transparency page says about 70% of each package goes to the people who edit it.

Where Creatorly is strong

  • An editor who is a creator too, matched to your channel
  • Thumbnail, title, description and upload in the Signature package
  • A predictable Monday-to-Friday cycle
  • Spanish-language editing for a limited number of clients

Why creators look elsewhere

  • The trial edit costs $450 or $600
  • Shorts are a second retainer with an 8-video minimum
  • Unused edits don’t carry into the next month
  • No channel strategy or management on its services page
  • The number of revision rounds isn’t published

Leaving Creatorly Media: a short checklist.

Built from Creatorly’s services page, read October 25, 2026. Retainers are booked up to a month ahead, so plan the move around your next booking.

  1. Use the edits you’ve paid for

Retainer edits are scheduled in the month you buy or the one after, and unused edits don’t roll over. Book your remaining Monday slots before you stop renewing.

  2. Send notes inside the Thursday window

Changes happen between Thursday’s rough cut and Friday’s final. Get your notes on the last videos in by Thursday so nothing is left half finished.

  3. Check who can access your channel

Creatorly uploads finished videos to your channel for you. After the last one goes up, open the permissions in YouTube Studio and remove any access you granted for uploads.

  4. Keep copies of every final

Long-form finals live on your channel and short-form edits arrive in your Google Drive. Save the exports to your own storage so your next editor can match the look.

  5. Ask about project files in writing

The services page doesn’t mention project files. If you want them, ask before your last cycle; if they aren’t available, send your next editor two or three finished videos to work from.

  6. Write down your style

Months of check-in calls taught your editor your pacing, fonts, music and thumbnail style. Put those preferences in a page for whoever edits next; Mark Studios turns them into a written style spec after the first month.

Every alternative, set against Creatorly.

Mark Santos founded the studio and runs every project, from the cut and the thumbnails to titles, SEO and, when you want it, channel strategy. The studio is in Palm Beach County, Florida, and films on location across Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties, quoted apart from the plans. The four plans on our plans page, read October 25, 2026: Starter, $750/month, one long-form edit with 4 shorts and 2 thumbnails; Growth, $2,000/month, 4 YouTube videos with thumbnails, titles and SEO, plus 8 Shorts cut from them; Scale, $2,700/month, 4 long-form edits, 24 shorts, 8 thumbnails, a priority queue and a monthly content plan; Unlimited, $3,500/month, requests edited one at a time, each first draft within 3 business days. Turnaround

Commitment
None; you pay per order

Compared with Creatorly: there is no retainer, no Monday slot and no trial fee, because you order one video at a time from a seller you choose. Each seller sets the price and delivery time, and Fiverr adds a 5.5% service fee to every payment, plus $3.50 when an order is under $200. The trade is consistency. Creatorly vets editors and matches one to your channel; on Fiverr you read the gig, the portfolio and the reviews yourself, then test with a small order. Disclosure: Mark Studios sells on Fiverr too.

Pros against Creatorly

  • Pay per video, with nothing reserved in advance
  • Sellers at every price point
  • Long-form and Shorts from the same seller or from different ones

Cons against Creatorly

  • No house standard on revisions or delivery time
  • Thumbnails, titles and uploads only if the gig includes them
  • Vetting and briefing the editor is on you

Turnaround
Not stated on its pricing page
Revisions
1 free hour on flat-rate videos, then $35 an hour
Commitment
None; invoiced monthly, not a subscription

Compared with Creatorly: Replayed also pairs you with an editor, but you pay for each video you send instead of reserving a month. A senior editor costs $349 for 16 to 35 minutes of raw footage or $559 for 36 to 60, and $49 an hour outside those ranges; Junior+ editors charge $249 for 20 to 30 minutes, or $35 an hour. A thumbnail adds $89 and a reformat $59. Flat-rate videos come with one hour of free revisions, then $35 an hour, and the month's work is collected on the 2nd. Where Creatorly charges for its trial, Replayed offers a free sample if you ask.

Pros against Creatorly

  • A free sample in place of a paid trial
  • Nothing to book: you pay for the videos you send
  • A cheaper Junior+ tier for simpler edits

Cons against Creatorly

  • Thumbnails are $89 each, where Creatorly's Signature includes one

Compared with Creatorly: no agency does the matching. You post a job, read the proposals and hire an editor directly, hourly or at a fixed price. On the Basic plan Upwork adds a 5% marketplace fee to each payment (3% for eligible US clients paying from a checking account) and a one-time contract fee of $0.99 to $14.99; Business Plus charges 10%, or 8% discounted. Because you write the scope, a weekly deadline, uploads, thumbnails and project files can all go into the contract. Nobody steps in if your editor gets busy.

Pros against Creatorly

  • Set your own weekly schedule and deliverables
  • Hourly or fixed price, with no month reserved up front
  • Project files written into the contract

Cons against Creatorly

  • Fees on top of the freelancer's rate

Commitment
Monthly, or quarterly at a discount

Compared with Creatorly: beCreatives swaps fixed weekly slots for a request queue that takes long videos and shorts on the same plan. Scale costs $1,199 a month, or $999 a month on a $2,997 quarterly bill; Pro is $2,299, or $1,999 quarterly, and turns edits around faster. On Scale a short comes back in about a business day and a long video in two to five by length, one request at a time, with unlimited revisions, an account manager and a Slack channel. It doesn't publish a monthly video count, and in place of a trial edit it offers a free strategy call.

  • Slack access to your editors and an account manager

Cons against Creatorly

Clipmasters

Best for: A request queue with same-day Shorts and a monthly content-coach call

Turnaround
Same day for shorts; up to 2 business days under 10 min, up to 4 under 30 min
Revisions
Unlimited, one request at a time
Commitment
No contract; 14-day money-back guarantee

Compared with Creatorly: Clipmasters is built for volume, vertical clips above all. Its Scale plan is $1,897 a month, $1,707 paid quarterly or $1,581 paid yearly, for unlimited requests that a dedicated editor works through one at a time on business days, with an account manager. Shorts under 90 seconds come back the same day; long-form takes up to two business days under 10 minutes and up to four under 30, and final videos top out at 60 minutes on Scale. A monthly one-to-one call with a content coach is its version of Creatorly's editor check-in. Thumbnails are a $109 add-on per video, with two options each.

  • A 14-day money-back guarantee instead of a paid trial
  • A monthly call with a content coach

Cons against Creatorly

  • Thumbnails cost $109 extra per video
  • $1,897 a month is more than Creatorly's four-video Signature retainer
  • Final videos are capped at 60 minutes on Scale

VidChops

Best for: The lowest monthly price for four long-form edits

Model
Monthly subscription, paid in credits
Starting price
$495/month for 4 credits (4 long-form or 16 short videos)
Turnaround
1–2 days
Revisions
3 per video (Weekly); unlimited (Pro)
Commitment
No contract; 14-day money-back guarantee

Compared with Creatorly: VidChops is the budget route to the same four-videos-a-month rhythm. Its Weekly plan is $495 a month for four credits, where one credit buys a long-form video of 5 to 60 minutes or four shorts, with three revisions per video, a dedicated editor and a 1–2 day turnaround. Pro doubles the credits for $995 and makes revisions unlimited. Because long and short edits draw on the same credits, there's no second retainer for Shorts. It has no contract and a 14-day money-back guarantee; subtitles are $95 a month extra, and it doesn't make 2D or 3D animation.

Pros against Creatorly

  • $495 for four long-form edits, against $1,700 at Creatorly
  • Long videos and shorts from one pool of credits

Model
Monthly subscription
Starting price
$849/month (Eskimo)
Turnaround
First draft in 1–3 business days
Revisions
Unlimited
Commitment
Monthly; 14-day money-back guarantee

Compared with Creatorly: Video Husky sells weekly editor time instead of a set number of videos. Eskimo is $849 a month for 10 hours of editing each week, pitched at 6 to 10 simple videos a month built from animation and graphic templates, with exports under 20 minutes from 1080p footage. Siberian, at $1,590, doubles the hours, allows 4K and adds YouTube thumbnails and regular sync calls; St. Bernard, at $2,749, is a full-time editor. Revisions are unlimited, first drafts arrive in 1 to 3 business days, and every package has a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Pros against Creatorly

  • Up to about 10 simple videos a month on Eskimo
  • A 14-day money-back guarantee
  • Unlimited revisions

Cons against Creatorly

  • Template graphics on Eskimo, not custom motion design
  • Thumbnails start on the $1,590 tier

VideoScale

Best for: A flat monthly queue with thumbnails included and strategy calls on Growth

Model
Monthly subscription
Starting price
$1,299/month (Starter)
Turnaround
2–3 business days (Starter); 1 business day (Growth)
Revisions
Unlimited, one request at a time
Commitment
No contract; pause or cancel; 14-day money-back guarantee

Compared with Creatorly: VideoScale is the subscription closest to Creatorly's mix of editing and packaging, with strategy on top. Starter costs $1,299 a month for unlimited requests handled one at a time, a thumbnail per video and AI captions, in 2 to 3 business days. Growth, at $1,899, works in a business day and adds what Creatorly doesn't sell: YouTube titles, descriptions and tags, thumbnail tests with up to three options, hook selection and monthly strategy calls. Scale, at $3,499, is a full-time editor. Quarterly billing takes 10% off and yearly 20%.

Pros against Creatorly

  • Monthly strategy calls and video SEO on Growth
  • A thumbnail with every video, from Starter up
  • Pause or cancel any time

Cons against Creatorly

  • $1,299 a month before strategy is included
  • Output depends on how fast your queue moves, one request at a time
  • No published number of videos per month

Dedicated editor hours

Vidpros

Best for: An editor's set daily hours, with a $100 trial week

Model
Dedicated editor hours
Starting price
$1,000/month (Part Time, 2 hours each workday)
Turnaround
Overnight on Part Time, depending on complexity
Revisions
Not stated on its pricing page
Commitment
Month to month; $100 trial week

Compared with Creatorly: Vidpros rents you a share of an editor's day rather than a number of videos. Part Time is $1,000 a month for two hours each workday from an editor who serves no more than four clients, with overnight turnaround depending on complexity; Full Time is $4,000 for eight hours a day. Simple thumbnails, AI captions, stock media and three months of storage come with the plan. Its trial is a $100 week that rolls into the $1,000 monthly plan. Graphics come from templates for intros, lower thirds and end cards rather than custom motion design, and it doesn't make animation.

Pros against Creatorly

  • A $100 trial week instead of a $450 trial edit
  • Simple thumbnails included
  • Month to month, no contract

Cons against Creatorly

  • Template-based graphics, no custom motion design
  • Hours, not a stated number of videos
  • Editors work Tuesday to Saturday, Philippine time

Frequently asked questions

What are the best Creatorly Media alternatives?

For most creators, Mark Studios: a free edit of one recording, then monthly plans from $750, with Growth at $2,000 for 4 YouTube videos, 8 Shorts, 4 thumbnails, titles and SEO. For the lowest price on four long-form edits, VidChops ($495 a month). For done-for-you growth with strategy and channel management, Increditors. For per-video billing, Replayed or Fiverr. For a subscription with strategy calls, VideoScale Growth ($1,899).

How much does Creatorly Media cost?

On October 25, 2026 its services page listed trial edits at $450 (Signature) and $600 (Director's Cut). Retainers: Signature $850 a month for 2 videos or $1,700 for 4; Director's Cut $1,150 or $2,300; Short-Form $1,800 a month for at least 8 vertical videos, with custom quotes above that. Prices are in US dollars, and edits you don't use in a month don't carry over.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Creatorly Media?

Yes, for four long videos a month. Creatorly's Signature retainer is $1,700 for four; VidChops lists four long-form credits for $495, and Tasty Edits' 4-pack costs $1,220 before thumbnails. Replayed charges $249 to $349 a video with nothing to book. Mark Studios' Starter plan is $750 for one long-form edit, 4 shorts and 2 thumbnails. Lower prices usually come with fewer extras, so compare what each one includes.

Which Creatorly alternative includes channel strategy or management?

Creatorly's services page sells editing only. Increditors' $9,500 Creator DFY package adds full channel strategy, channel management and scripting, with a 3-month minimum. Tasty Edits sells channel management on its own plan, from $1,266 a month billed yearly. VideoScale's $1,899 Growth plan includes monthly strategy calls and video SEO. Mark Studios offers YouTube strategy and channel management as fixed-fee engagements next to its editing plans.

Can I try an editor without paying for a $450 trial?

Yes. Mark Studios edits one recording you already have for free, up to 15 minutes of footage, one per business. Replayed offers a free sample on request. Vidpros has a $100 trial week that turns into its $1,000 monthly plan. VidChops, VideoScale, Clipmasters and Video Husky back their subscriptions with a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Which alternatives include Shorts in the same plan as long videos?

At Creatorly, short-form is a separate $1,800 retainer. Mark Studios' Growth plan includes 8 Shorts cut from your 4 videos, and Scale includes 24. A VidChops credit covers either one long video or four shorts, and beCreatives, Clipmasters and VideoScale take both formats in one queue. Tasty Edits and Fiverr sellers price shorts per video.

Do unused edits roll over at Creatorly alternatives?

Not at Creatorly: its retainer reserves editor time, so edits you don't use that month are gone. Increditors' creator packages say unused videos roll over. Tasty Edits credits last 90 days from purchase. Per-video options such as Replayed and Fiverr have nothing to expire, and Mark Studios plans run month to month, so you can cancel online before a month you won't use.
