From VidChops' terms and the FAQ on its pricing page, read October 19, 2026. Your files are the main thing at risk, because access to them ends with your last paid billing term.

  1. Download everything before the term runs out

    A cancelled account keeps the service and its files until the paid billing term ends, then loses access to the files. The terms ask you to save them locally before you cancel: finished videos from their download links, and your raw footage from the shared Google Drive folder.

  2. Cancel by email, before renewal

    Plans renew on their own. To cancel, email vidchops@gmail.com before the current period ends. Payments aren't refunded for part of a month, outside the 14-day guarantee for first-time customers.

  3. Spend this month's credits

    Unused videos don't roll over to the next month. Queue the edits you still want in your final paid month, and send them early: VidChops works through your videos one at a time.

  4. Close revisions inside 30 days

    A revision asked for more than 30 days after a delivery counts as a new credit. Finish any open revision rounds while you still have credits to cover them.

  5. Ask about project files in writing

    The FAQ says its editors work in Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro, but neither the terms nor the pricing page promise the project files. The terms do say you own the finished videos. If no project files come, give your next editor finished videos to match.

  6. Withdraw the portfolio license if you want to

    By default the terms let VidChops show your work in its portfolio, on its website, on social media and in email. To revoke that, tell VidChops in writing at vidchops@gmail.com.

Neither its pricing page nor its terms promise them. The FAQ says its editors work in Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro, and the terms say you own the footage you upload and the finished videos. If you may change editors, ask in writing before you cancel. Editvideo.io, EditCrew and Video Husky include project files with their subscriptions; Mark Studios delivers finished exports only.

How do I switch from VidChops without losing my style?

Before your last paid month ends, download the finished videos and copy your raw footage out of the shared Drive folder, since access ends with the billing term. Then give the new editor two or three of your VidChops edits with timestamps of what you liked, your fonts, caption look, lower thirds and music, and the footage for your next video.
