Best Pacing House alternatives in 2026

Pacing House is the name editor Bishal Nneupane works under from Pokhara, Nepal: a $95 paid test cut, then a Weekly Creator Retainer from $1,100 a month for four long-form videos and eight shorts, or a Shorts / Reels Sprint from $600. Buyers who look further usually want thumbnails in the price, more capacity than one editor has, or a test edit that costs nothing. For them our pick is Mark Studios, with monthly plans from $750; Growth is $2,000 for 4 YouTube videos with thumbnails, titles and SEO, plus 8 Shorts.

A note before you read: Mark Studios wrote this list and puts its own service first, so it isn’t an independent review. What it says about Pacing House and every other option comes from that provider’s own site, with the date we read it (how we compared). Some Fiverr links are affiliate links; if you buy through one we may earn a commission, at no cost to you.

Our pick

Mark Studios is the best Pacing House alternative for most creators.

Pacing House gives you one editor and a written scope; thumbnails, posting and filming sit outside it, and capacity you don’t use is gone at month end. Mark Studios keeps the direct contact, with Mark reviewing every video, and builds the packaging, a free first edit and room to grow into the plan.

  • Thumbnails and titles in the plan. Pacing House quotes thumbnails separately from its retainers. Every Mark Studios plan includes them, and Growth adds a title and SEO (description, tags and chapters) for each of its 4 videos.
  • A free first edit, not a $95 test. Pacing House’s test cut costs $95 and stops at 5 finished minutes. Send Mark Studios one recording you already have, up to 15 minutes of footage, and Mark edits it free, delivered finished.
  • Direct contact without a ceiling. As with Pacing House, you deal with the person in charge: Mark scopes your plan, writes your style spec and checks each video before it ships. But unused work carries over a month, a quiet month can be paused free, and Unlimited takes every request you send, one at a time.

Quick picks.

Pacing House’s Weekly Creator Retainer is $1,100 a month for four long-form videos and eight shorts. For the four long videos alone, Editvideo.io lists $295 and VidChops $495; for mostly vertical work, The Editor’s Connection starts at $119 against the $600 Sprint, and ShortVids sells 30 or more shorts a month. Replayed and Tasty Edits bill per video, Video Husky and Vidpros sell a monthly queue or an editor’s hours, and Contra, Fiverr and Upwork let you hire an independent editor, much as you would Pacing House.

The baseline

What Pacing House sells, and why buyers compare it

Pacing House is the name video editor Bishal Nneupane works under from Pokhara, Nepal, and its about page is plain about the model: “It is one editor, not an agency: the person who cuts your test edit edits every video after it.” Its rates, in US dollars and the same in every market, were these on October 25, 2026. A $95 paid test cut covers one video up to 5 finished minutes, or two shorts up to 60 seconds, from up to 45 minutes of footage, with one revision round and a first cut targeted in 3–5 business days. The Weekly Creator Retainer, from $1,100 a month, covers 4 long-form videos up to 12 finished minutes, from up to 90 minutes of footage each, plus 8 shorts cut from the same footage, with full sound, a Rec.709 grade, 2 revision rounds and project files. The Shorts / Reels Sprint, from $600 a month, covers 15 vertical videos up to 60 seconds, with one consolidated revision round per batch. Full podcast episodes are quoted per episode.

Its terms, last updated October 16, 2026, set the limits. Every project runs on a written quote, and the final retainer rate depends on footage volume, motion complexity and turnaround, so the published figures are starting points. Unused monthly capacity doesn’t roll over. Custom animation, multilingual transcription, filming, thumbnails and social posting are quoted separately. Turnaround times are targets rather than guarantees and start once complete files arrive. Cancellation terms aren’t published; they’re set in each quote or retainer agreement. Work is invoiced, international clients pay in US dollars by Wise or card, and the editing happens in DaVinci Resolve, with the Resolve project handed over where the scope and third-party licences allow.

Price is its strong suit. Its long-form page works the retainer out at roughly $275 per long video with the shorts included, and you deal with the editor himself rather than an account manager. Buyers look elsewhere for the reasons its own about page names: one editor has fixed capacity, retainers carry footage and revision limits, and thumbnails and posting cost extra. Its homepage samples are labelled self-directed spec edits, and its one published client case study is a ten-video short-form series for a Pokhara brand.

Where Pacing House is strong

  • Published rates: $95 to test, then $1,100 a month for 4 long videos and 8 shorts
  • The same editor on every video, with no account manager in between
  • Up to 90 minutes of footage per long video, and the Resolve project where licences allow

Why buyers compare it

  • Thumbnails, filming and posting are quoted separately
  • Unused monthly capacity doesn’t roll over
  • One editor’s capacity: its own roundup notes there’s no cover if he’s ill or fully booked
  • Rates are “from” prices, and cancellation terms are set per quote

Leaving Pacing House: a checklist.

Built from Pacing House’s terms (updated October 16, 2026) and its service pages, read October 25, 2026. Its cancellation rules live in your own quote, so start there.

  1. Read your quote for the cancellation terms

Pacing House doesn’t publish a notice period or a cancellation fee: its terms say cancellation is set out in the quote or retainer agreement for your project. Check that document first, so you know how much notice to give and which month is your last.

  2. Use the month you’ve paid for

Unused monthly capacity doesn’t roll over, so send the footage for your remaining long videos and shorts early enough for them to come back before the month closes. Turnaround only starts once complete files arrive.

  3. Ask for the DaVinci Resolve projects

The Weekly Creator Retainer includes project files where the scope and third-party licences allow. Request them with your last deliverables, and if your next editor works in Premiere Pro, ask about an XML handoff, which its FAQ says a quote can include once plugin and licensing dependencies are reviewed.

  4. List the licensed music and stock

Third-party fonts, plugins, music and stock media stay under their own licences, and licensed-stock b-roll is used within its licence terms. Ask which music and stock clips in your videos Pacing House licensed, so you know what your channel can keep using.

  5. Measure your footage against the next plan

The retainer takes up to 90 minutes of source footage per long video. Mark Studios plans assume up to 15 minutes per long-form edit (longer recordings are priced before the edit starts), VidChops takes 60-minute uploads, Video Husky’s Eskimo plan fits raw footage under 60 minutes, and Editvideo.io caps it at 45.

  6. Close the shared folders and channels

Footage moves through Google Drive, Dropbox or Frame.io, and some projects run a shared Slack channel. Once your files are back, remove those shares, and keep two or three finished videos as the reference brief for whoever edits next.

Every alternative, set against Pacing House.

Model
Agency: monthly plan or per project
Stated turnaround
Up to 7 business days per deliverable; first draft in 3 on Unlimited
Revisions
3 rounds on every deliverable
Commitment
Month to month; pause a month at no charge

Compared with Pacing House: you keep a direct line to the person in charge and get the packaging its retainer quotes separately. Mark Santos, a YouTuber since 2011, scopes each plan, writes your style spec after the first month and reviews every video before it ships, so the person you email is the person checking the cut. Thumbnails come in every plan, and the studio also films on location in Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties. The four plans on our plans page, read October 25, 2026: Starter, $750/month, 1 long-form edit, 4 shorts and 2 thumbnails; Growth, $2,000/month, 4 YouTube videos with a thumbnail, title and SEO for each, plus 8 Shorts; Scale, $2,700/month, 4 long-form edits, 24 shorts, 8 thumbnails, a monthly content plan and the front of the queue; Unlimited, $3,500/month, as many requests as you send, worked one at a time, each with a first draft inside 3 business days. Work you don't use rolls into the next month, and before you spend anything Mark edits one recording you already have, free (up to 15 minutes of footage, delivered finished). Single videos are priced in the instant quote.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Designed thumbnails in every plan, with titles and SEO on Growth
  • A free first edit of up to 15 minutes of footage, where Pacing House's test costs $95
  • Unused work carries over a month, and a quiet month can be paused free

Good to know

  • Pacing House costs less: $1,100 a month for 4 long videos and 8 shorts, against $2,000 for Growth
  • Plans assume up to 15 minutes of footage per long-form edit; Pacing House's retainer takes up to 90
  • Project files are a paid add-on here, where Pacing House hands over its Resolve project when licences allow

Per project: fixed, milestone or invoice

Compared with Pacing House: this is the closest thing to hiring Pacing House itself, an independent editor you talk to directly, except that the contract, escrow or milestone payments and invoices run through Contra instead of a private quote. Editors keep their whole rate, because Contra takes no commission from them. Its pricing page lists a client payment fee of $15 on payments under $500 and $29 on larger ones, which disappears when the freelancer subscribes to Contra Pro ($29 a month or $199 a year), and card payments carry a 2.9% + 30¢ processing charge. Rates are each editor's own: on its video editor directory some profiles show an hourly price, such as $75 an hour, and others say “contact for pricing”. Pacing House's own roundup of editing services lists Contra among its marketplaces.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Escrow, milestones and contracts on a direct hire
  • No commission taken out of the editor's rate
  • Portfolios to browse before you message anyone

Cons against Pacing House

  • A $15 or $29 fee on each payment unless your editor pays for Pro
  • You vet each editor yourself, with no house standard for revisions or turnaround

None: each order stands alone

Compared with Pacing House: a Fiverr order replaces both halves of Pacing House's offer, the paid test and the monthly retainer, with one gig at a time. Sellers set their own price, delivery time and revision count, and nothing renews unless you order again, so there's no monthly capacity to lose. Fiverr adds a 5.5% service fee to each payment, and $3.50 more on orders under $200; every extra or tip carries its own fee. What you give up is continuity: Pacing House keeps one editor on your channel, while on Fiverr finding a seller who matches your style, and keeping them, is your job. Disclosure: Mark Studios sells on Fiverr as well.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Pay per order, with no retainer to fill each month
  • Specialists for one-off jobs such as animation or thumbnails
  • Sellers at every price point and delivery speed

Cons against Pacing House

  • Every seller is yours to vet, brief and manage
  • Revisions and turnaround change from gig to gig

Hourly or fixed-price contracts

Compared with Pacing House: you write the terms that Pacing House leaves to each quote, from deadlines and revision rounds to file handover and how either side ends the contract. Clients on the Basic plan pay a 5% marketplace fee on every payment (3% for eligible US clients paying from a checking account) plus a one-time contract initiation fee of $0.99 to $14.99; Business Plus charges 10%, or 8%. Hourly contracts suit work that doesn't fit a fixed retainer, such as a two-hour podcast that Pacing House would quote per episode, or a month with six long videos instead of four. Pacing House's own advice is to judge any editor on a paid edit of your footage rather than a showreel, and a small first contract on Upwork is that test.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Cancellation and handover terms you put in the contract
  • Hourly billing for long recordings or uneven months
  • Interview and trial several editors before you commit

Cons against Pacing House

  • Marketplace and contract fees on top of the editor's rate
  • Nobody lined up to cover if your freelancer is booked or leaves

A set number of videos a month

Editvideo.io

Best for: Four long-form edits a month for about a quarter of Pacing House's retainer

Model
Monthly subscription (set videos a month)
Starting price

Stated turnaround
48 hours (72 above 45 minutes of raw footage)
Revisions
Unlimited
Commitment
Cancel any time by email; 14-day money-back guarantee

Compared with Pacing House: the long-form half of Pacing House's retainer costs far less here. Editvideo.io's Grow plan is $295 a month at its limited-time price ($345 regular) for 4 long-form videos, each due in 48 hours with unlimited revisions and the project files, against $1,100 for Pacing House's 4 long videos plus 8 shorts. Add its short-form Grow plan, 10 shorts for $195, and the pair comes to $490. The footage limit is tighter, 45 minutes of raw footage per video against Pacing House's 90, and as at Pacing House, capacity you don't use lapses when the billing cycle ends. Instead of a $95 paid test it offers a free 90-second test edit of your own footage.

Pros against Pacing House

  • $295 for four long edits, against $1,100 for the retainer
  • 48-hour delivery, unlimited revisions and project files
  • A free 90-second test edit before you pay anything

Cons against Pacing House

  • Shorts are a separate plan ($195 for 10)
  • 45 minutes of raw footage per video, half of Pacing House's allowance

VidChops

Best for: Credits that switch between long videos and shorts, with a money-back guarantee

Model
Monthly subscription (credits)
Starting price
$495/month for 4 credits (4 long-form or 16 short videos)
Stated turnaround
1–2 days; revisions in 1 business day
Revisions
3 per video on Weekly; unlimited on Pro
Commitment
No contract; 14-day money-back guarantee

Compared with Pacing House: VidChops sells the same kind of month, long videos and shorts from a dedicated editor, but in credits you split as you like: one credit is a long-form video of 5 to 60 minutes or four shorts. Weekly, at $495, gives you 4 credits. Pro, at $995, gives you 8, enough for Pacing House's 4 long videos with 16 shorts instead of 8, adds unlimited revisions and an account manager, and still costs $105 less than the $1,100 retainer. Edits come back in 1–2 days, every plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee, and there's no contract. The limits sit elsewhere: finished videos stop at 15 minutes, raw uploads at 60, subtitles cost $95 a month, and it doesn't do voiceovers or 2D and 3D animation.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Pro buys 4 long videos plus 16 shorts for $995
  • 1–2 day turnaround, with revisions the next business day
  • A 14-day money-back guarantee in place of a paid test

Cons against Pacing House

  • 3 revisions per video on Weekly, and subtitles cost $95 a month
  • Raw uploads capped at 60 minutes, where Pacing House takes 90

ShortVids

Best for: 30 or more shorts a month, each back within 24 hours

Model
Monthly subscription (active requests)
Starting price
$999/month (Startup: 1 active request)
Stated turnaround
24 hours per short; 48–72 hours per long-form edit
Revisions
2 rounds per video on Startup
Commitment
Month to month; 7 days' notice before renewal

Compared with Pacing House: ShortVids is built for volume, where Pacing House is built around one editor. Its Startup plan, $999 a month, keeps one request active at a time and expects 30–35 short videos a month plus 2 long-form edits, each short back within 24 hours, against 15 shorts for $600 on Pacing House's Sprint. The trade is access: all creative direction goes through a project manager, and its FAQ says you can't contact your editor directly, the reverse of Pacing House's model. Startup includes two revision rounds per video and no thumbnails. Cancelling takes 7 days' notice before renewal, and charged fees aren't refunded. A $200 trial buys 4 finished shorts before you subscribe.

Pros against Pacing House

  • About twice the Sprint's monthly shorts
  • 24-hour delivery on each short
  • A $200 trial of 4 shorts before you subscribe

Cons against Pacing House

  • No direct contact with your editor; direction goes through a project manager
  • 7 days' notice to cancel, and charged fees aren't refundable

Stated turnaround
2–3 days per batch on Limited; next day for 3 shorts on Unlimited tiers
Revisions
One round on Limited; unlimited on Unlimited tiers
Commitment
Month to month; cancel any time

Compared with Pacing House: for vertical work it costs a fraction of the Shorts / Reels Sprint. The Limited plan is $119 a month for 4 reels a week, about 17 in a month against the Sprint's 15 for $600, with each weekly batch back in 2–3 days and one round of revisions; the weekly allowance doesn't stack if you skip a week. Basic Unlimited, at $699 a month, takes long-form as well: its page quotes an average of 12–30 shorts or 4–8 long videos a month, worked one request after another, with the same editor across your projects, no limit on duration and a 15-day money-back guarantee. Its editors work Monday to Friday, 10 to 6 Central time.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Four reels a week for $119, against $600 for the Sprint
  • No duration limit on the Unlimited tiers
  • The same editor across your projects on Unlimited tiers

Cons against Pacing House

  • One revision round on Limited
  • Unlimited tiers start at $699 and edit one request at a time

Video Husky

Best for: Up to 10 simple videos a month from one retained senior editor

Model
Monthly subscription, or prepaid credit bundles
Starting price
$849/month (Eskimo)
Stated turnaround
First draft within 3 business days
Revisions
Unlimited
Commitment
14-day money-back guarantee

Compared with Pacing House: the Eskimo plan costs $251 less than the Weekly Creator Retainer, promises “6-10 simple videos edited per month” and keeps a senior editor on your account for every project, the same continuity Pacing House sells. It's narrower on footage. Eskimo fits exports under 20 minutes from raw footage under 60 minutes and 40 GB, at 1080p (4K starts on Siberian, $1,590), and custom animation is listed as a poor fit. Your editor starts the next video once you approve the current one; each first draft is due within three business days, and Video Husky says 97.5% of requests take two business days or less. St. Bernard is $2,749, and credit bundles cover months a plan doesn't suit.

Pros against Pacing House

  • $849 for up to 10 simple videos, below the $1,100 retainer
  • A senior editor retained on your account
  • Unlimited revisions and a 14-day money-back guarantee

Cons against Pacing House

  • 1080p on Eskimo; 4K starts at $1,590
  • Raw footage under 60 minutes per video, against Pacing House's 90

Vidpros

Best for: A set block of editor hours each workday, with simple thumbnails included

Model
Dedicated editor hours
Starting price
$1,000/month (2 editing hours each workday)
Stated turnaround
Overnight, depending on complexity
Revisions
Not stated on its pricing page
Commitment
Month to month; a $100 trial week rolls into the plan

Compared with Pacing House: for about the same money you buy an editor's time instead of a written list of deliverables. Vidpros Part Time is $1,000 a month, $100 under the retainer, for two hours of a dedicated editor each workday, with overnight turnaround depending on complexity, stock video and music, AI captions, three months of storage and simple thumbnails, which Pacing House quotes separately. No editor takes more than four clients. They work Tuesday to Saturday, 8 to 5 Philippine time, in Premiere Pro, using design templates rather than custom motion graphics; Pacing House cuts in DaVinci Resolve. There's no free trial, but a $100 trial week converts into the monthly plan, and Full Time is $4,000 for eight hours a day.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Simple thumbnails included in the price
  • Overnight turnaround on routine edits
  • Premiere Pro, if that's what your channel already uses

Cons against Pacing House

  • No set number of videos: output depends on how long each edit takes
  • Template graphics rather than custom motion work

Pay per video

Replayed

Best for: Paying per video while talking directly to your editors

Model

Starting price

Stated turnaround
Not stated on its pricing page
Revisions

Commitment
None; invoiced monthly, not a subscription

Compared with Pacing House: Replayed keeps the direct line to your editor, which its pricing page lists on every plan, and drops the monthly scope. Senior editors charge a flat $349 for 16 to 35 minutes of raw footage, $559 for 36 to 60, or $49 an hour outside those ranges; Junior+ editors charge $249 for 20 to 30 minutes, or $35 an hour. A thumbnail adds $89 and a reformat $59. Senior flat-rate videos include one hour of free revisions, then $35 an hour, and each month's work is invoiced together and collected on the 2nd. Four long videos come to $1,396 at the senior rate or $996 with Junior+ editors, without Pacing House's 8 shorts. Instead of a paid test, Replayed sends a free sample if you ask.

Pros against Pacing House

  • Direct contact with editors on every plan
  • Pay only for the videos you send, with no capacity to lose
  • A free sample on request instead of a $95 test

Cons against Pacing House

  • Revisions past the first free hour cost $35 an hour
  • No turnaround published on its pricing page

Method and disclosure.

Mark Studios publishes this list and picks itself. It also sells on Fiverr. No provider paid to appear. Our row and card carry our published plan prices; single projects are quoted.

Who’s on it
Editing services a Pacing House buyer is likely to weigh, each with a public price or a plain way to buy. Seven come from Pacing House’s own October roundup of YouTube editing services (Tasty Edits, Vidpros, Video Husky, VidChops, Upwork, Fiverr and Contra; the eighth it names, Praper Media, publishes no prices). Editvideo.io, The Editor’s Connection, ShortVids and Replayed come up in the same searches and AI answers and cover the cheaper, shorts-first and per-video routes.
What we checked
Each provider’s own pricing page on October 25, 2026, rendered in a browser where the prices load with JavaScript (Replayed, Video Husky, Tasty Edits, ShortVids) or the site blocks automated reads (Upwork, Fiverr’s help center). Pacing House’s homepage rates and FAQ, about page, terms, service pages and roundup were read the same day. Prices change, so confirm before you buy.
How it’s ordered
Mark Studios first, as our pick. The rest are grouped by how you pay: marketplaces, a set number of videos a month, shorts-first subscriptions, queues and editor hours, then per-video pricing, alphabetical inside each group and not ranked.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best Pacing House alternatives?

Mark Studios, for most creators: monthly plans start at $750 and all of them include thumbnails; Growth, at $2,000, covers 4 YouTube videos, each with a title and SEO, plus 8 Shorts; your first edit is free, and Mark reviews every video. For four long edits on a budget, Editvideo.io ($295) or VidChops ($495). For mostly reels, The Editor's Connection ($119) or ShortVids ($999). To pay per video, Replayed or Tasty Edits. To hire an independent editor directly, Contra, Fiverr or Upwork.

How much does Pacing House cost?

On October 25, 2026 its site listed a $95 paid test cut, a Weekly Creator Retainer from $1,100 a month (4 long-form videos up to 12 finished minutes, plus 8 shorts) and a Shorts / Reels Sprint from $600 a month (15 vertical videos up to 60 seconds). Those are starting rates: the final retainer price depends on footage volume, motion complexity and turnaround, and full podcast episodes are quoted per episode. Prices are in US dollars for every market.

Is Pacing House an agency?

Not by its own description. Pacing House is the name editor Bishal Nneupane works under from Pokhara, Nepal, and its about page says “It is one editor, not an agency.” That buys continuity, since the person who cuts your test edit cuts every video after it, at the cost of fixed capacity; the same page says an agency may fit better if you publish at a volume that needs several editors at once.

Does Pacing House make thumbnails?

Not inside its packages. Its terms list thumbnails, with custom animation, multilingual transcription, filming and social posting, as work quoted separately from the retainers, though deliveries can include “thumbnail grabs” alongside the 4K master. Every Mark Studios plan includes thumbnails, Vidpros includes simple ones, and Tasty Edits and Replayed sell them per video for $43 and $89.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Pacing House?

For long-form alone, yes: Editvideo.io lists 4 long-form videos a month for $295 at its current offer price, and VidChops 4 for $495, though neither includes Pacing House's 8 shorts or takes 90 minutes of footage per video. VidChops Pro, $995 for 8 credits, can cover 4 long videos and 16 shorts. For vertical work, The Editor's Connection's $119 plan delivers 4 reels a week. Fiverr and Upwork freelancers set their own rates, with Fiverr's 5.5% or Upwork's 5% fee on top.

Is Pacing House or Mark Studios better?

Mark Studios, for creators who want the packaging done and room to grow: every plan comes with thumbnails, Growth adds titles and SEO, a month's unused work rolls into the next, the first edit is free, and Mark reviews each video before it ships. Mark Studios is Top Rated on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating, 8,000+ orders and 99% on time. Pacing House wins on price and footage: $1,100 a month buys 4 long videos and 8 shorts from up to 90 minutes of footage each, with the Resolve project handed over where licences allow.

Is Pacing House legit?

Yes, it operates in the open. It names its editor, Bishal Nneupane in Pokhara, publishes its rates and its terms (last updated October 16, 2026), invoices each project and will review an NDA before you share footage. Because it is one editor, judge the work itself: its homepage samples are labelled self-directed spec edits, and its one published client case study is a ten-video short-form series for a brand in Pokhara. The $95 test cut exists for exactly that check.
