Best-of list

Best photographers in Wellington, FL (2026)

For businesses, season events and weddings in Wellington, Mark Studios is our pick. Mark comes to you anywhere in the village, can film video on the same visit and edits every photo in house, and each shoot gets a written quote. For a family or newborn session, which Mark Studios doesn’t offer, Katie Lewis and Susan Miller are both based in Wellington and publish prices from $600 and $350; for horses and riders, see the equestrian group.

How this list works: Mark Studios publishes it and ranks its own service, so this is not an independent review. Every other option’s facts come from its own site, with the date we checked (how we compared).

Our pick

In Wellington, call Mark Studios for anything a business, a club or a couple needs photographed.

From January through April, while the Winter Equestrian Festival and Sunday polo run, Wellington’s calendar fills with galas, club nights and weddings; the rest of the year, practices, brokerages and shops book photos of their people and spaces. Mark Studios covers both at your venue, not in the show ring. It doesn’t run family, newborn or horse-and-rider sessions; those photographers have their own groups below.

  • Your venue, your access. Offices, practices, clubs, estates and reception venues in the village, or anywhere in Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties: headshots and team photos, brand photos, property, events and weddings.
  • Stills and film from one visit. Add video to the booking and both are shot and edited by one studio, so the photos and the footage match.
  • You deal with Mark directly. Top Rated on Fiverr, with a 4.9★ average across 8,000+ orders and 99% of them delivered on time.

Photographing in Wellington: what to plan for.

Four things that shape a photo shoot in and around the village, from the showgrounds’, the polo center’s, the county’s and the Village’s own pages, read October 21, 2026.

  1. Book around the show season

Wellington International is open November through April, Thursday to Sunday, and from January through April it runs 13 weeks of the Winter Equestrian Festival alongside 10 weeks of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival. The National Polo Center holds polo every Sunday from January through April, and its 2027 season starts in late December and finishes the first weekend of May. A gala, a party or a wedding set against that calendar should have its photographer booked before the season opens.

  2. No professional cameras at the shows without accreditation

Spectators may take photos at Wellington International, though not with flash or long or detachable lenses, and professional photography of any kind needs the showgrounds’ accreditation. Applications for the 2027 Winter Equestrian Festival and Global Dressage Festival have closed. Accredited photographers must carry $1 million in liability insurance, and those accredited as primary shooters for at least half the season can join its Photography Collective for a 20% discount. For ringside photos, hire a photographer who already works the show for private clients.

  3. County parks need a photo-session permit

Okeeheelee Park, the 1,659.84-acre county park on Forest Hill Boulevard west of West Palm Beach, is open sunrise to sunset and has a 111-acre equestrian showplace. Palm Beach County asks every business photographing a private session in its parks for a permit: a day permit is $50 plus tax and allows a single session, three hours at most, in one park, and photographers who shoot often buy the $150-plus-tax annual permit, which covers one photographer for the calendar year. Allow five business days. Photos for ads, catalogs or magazines go through the county film commission, whose permits are free but need a $1 million liability policy.

  4. Village parks close at dusk

Peaceful Waters Sanctuary, inside Village Park on Pierson Road, is a 30-acre wetland with 1,500 feet of raised boardwalk and a mile of trails. It closes daily at dusk, so a golden-hour session there has to wrap before dark; it also shuts from 7 a.m. to noon on the second Tuesday of each month for maintenance, allows no dogs other than service animals, and has alligators. The Village’s page for it says nothing about a photography permit, so ask Wellington Parks and Recreation before booking a paid session there.

Every option, with pros and cons.

Mark Studios is a founder-led photo and video studio from Palm Beach County that comes to the job, anywhere in Wellington and the rest of the county and in Broward and Martin counties. In the village that means headshots and team photos at a practice or office, brand photos of the people and the place, products for an online store or a menu, homes and estate listings, restaurants and hospitality, club evenings and galas, and weddings. Video can join the same booking, filmed on the same visit and edited to match the stills, and every photo is selected, color-corrected and cleaned up before you receive it. In July 2026 the studio covered Sovereign Self-Defense’s Keep America Armed gala, held in the PGA National Resort ballroom in Palm Beach Gardens, in photos and video, and cut its highlight reel, What Patriotism Looks Like in 2026; in February 2024 it covered a Deerfield Beach wedding from the first look and the oceanside ceremony to the reception and delivered four films with the edited photos. By the site’s count it has delivered 10,000+ projects and earned 4,500+ reviews, and Mark is Top Rated on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating and 99% on-time delivery.

Samantha Borgos of Sovereign Self-Defense, the gala’s host, puts it this way: “It has completely changed the way that we do business.”

Pros

  • Stills and video from one visit, edited by one studio
  • Comes to your practice, club, estate or venue in Wellington
  • Business, event and wedding photos in one consistent look

Good to know

  • Not a family-portrait studio: it doesn’t run family, newborn, maternity or couples sessions (see the family, newborn and portrait group)
  • Not an equestrian photographer: no horse-show or sale-horse coverage (see the equestrian group)
  • Priced by written quote; no published photo prices
  • No studio to visit and no published photo delivery time; every shoot is on location and your quote sets the date

Where these facts come from: what we photograph, our Wellington photographer and county photography pages; the PGA National gala, our event videography page; the Deerfield Beach wedding, our wedding videography and photography page; Samantha Borgos’s words, our reviews page.

Captured Moments by Dawn is Dawn Licata’s portrait studio in Wellington. Dawn says she was given her first film camera on Mother’s Day 1996, photographed friends and family on evenings and weekends while she worked in corporate jobs, and went full-time in 2014. Maternity, newborn, child and family portraits are her specialties, with posed fine-art newborn work at the center, and she likes to follow a family from the bump to the newborn shoot and on through the baby’s first year, including cake smash and milestone sessions. Her studio page shows a vintage-styled room stocked with backdrops and props. The site names Lake Worth, Jupiter, Boca Raton, Parkland and other towns it serves, and it publishes no prices or delivery times; sessions start from the contact form.

  • Posed newborn portraits are the specialty
  • One photographer from maternity to the first birthday

Katie Lewis lives in Wellington with her husband and two boys. She came to Florida from Chicago in 2012 for graduate school, is a speech-language pathologist who isn’t practicing for now, and made photography her business after investing in training in 2020. One standard package serves families, couples and high-school seniors: $600 buys 45–60 minutes at a single location for up to six people, with an outfit change if you want one and 50+ downloadable images, and every person beyond six adds $10. Lifestyle newborn shoots run 1.5–2 hours at home (a rented studio costs extra) and start at $700; pairing one with a maternity or pregnancy-announcement shoot saves money. Weddings, up to eight hours with an engagement session included, are priced when you ask. She helps with outfits and colors, keeps a few simple milestone props, charges a travel fee past 30 miles and sends clients to Mpix for prints.

Equestrian

Mark Studios doesn’t photograph horse shows or sale horses. These three do: two work from Wellington all year, and one sells coverage of the Winter Equestrian Festival by the week.

ES Equine Photography is Evelyn Szczepanek, who rode hunters and jumpers on the Penn State Equestrian Team from 2009, bought her first horse in 2011 and started the business in 2015 to photograph horses with their riders. Her private show page, still headed WEF 2025 but taking bookings for WEF 2027, prices photo or video coverage by the week: $1,250 for one horse in two or three classes, and $500 for each additional horse. Weeks can be mixed across the ESP Holiday series, WEF 2027, Miami and ESP Spring; eight or more weeks takes 15% off each week and adds a horse-and-rider sunset session and half off a studio horse portrait, and five to seven weeks takes 10% off. A WEF 2027 spot needs a $2,500 deposit, and she says she is limiting her client list this season. Her about page lists The Plaid Horse among the places her work has been featured.

Pros

  • A published weekly rate for show coverage
  • Photo, video or a mix
  • Season discounts that include a portrait session

Cons

  • A $2,500 deposit to hold a WEF 2027 spot
  • The pricing page is still headed WEF 2025

Wellington equestrian photo and film studio: retainers or single sessions
Published price

Not stated

In Hand is Alistair’s photography and film studio in Wellington; the name comes from the show ring, where a horse is shown in hand with nothing between it and its handler. Most of the studio’s time goes to retainer clients, barns, trainers and equestrian businesses, for three kinds of work: content for a barn’s own feed, timed to its calendar and in its own voice; sale-horse packages of conformation photos and honest under-saddle video, delivered quickly; and long-form work such as barn films, profiles of riders and end-of-season recaps. Anyone who just wants portraits with their animals can book a single session any month of the year, ringside, at the barn or at home. The site has no prices: a short note about you and your program brings back a plan and a quote.

Pros

  • Photos and film from one Wellington studio
  • Sale-horse photos and video turned around quickly
  • Single portrait sessions all year

Cons

  • No published prices or delivery times
  • Most of its calendar goes to retainer clients

Nicole Schultz Photography

Model
Wellington equestrian photographer: published show-coverage rate
Published price
Pre-WEF coverage $800 a week (one rider, one horse); $200 per extra horse
Stated delivery
Gallery updated daily during show coverage

Nicole Schultz grew up in Jacksonville, paid her way into riding with a camera, and now calls Wellington home; from November through April her site says she is riding or ringside at Wellington International photographing clients, and in summer she follows the hunter-jumper circuit to Lexington, Tryon and Traverse City. She is booking private show clients now for the pre-WEF season and WEF 2027. Before WEF, a week costs $800 for one rider and one horse and $200 for each extra horse, with that day’s candids, warm-ups and in-ring photos uploaded to a private gallery every day, high-resolution downloads, a print store and short video clips at no charge. Horse shows require a client list, which can be limited, so a spot isn’t guaranteed until it’s paid. Horse-and-rider portrait sessions, often shot at golden hour, book anywhere in Florida year-round and are 20% off alongside show coverage.

Pros

  • Lives in Wellington and works the show season
  • Photos in your gallery every day
  • Video clips at no extra charge

Cons

  • Only the pre-WEF weekly rate is published
  • No published portrait prices

6–8 weeks

Organic Moments Photography and Design is Josh and Erica, a husband-and-wife team who say they have photographed more than 400 weddings and work the ceremony with two shooters, one on the walk down the aisle and one on the reaction. They add an in-house video team and a photo booth, and also photograph engagements, boudoir, maternity and families, with a team newborn photographer who poses babies in your home. Their site gives a Boca Raton contact address and says they split the year between Florida and the New York tri-state area; Google’s map results list them under Wellington, and Florida weddings carry no travel cost. Collections are built per couple, so no prices are published. Hand-edited photos reach an online album 6–8 weeks after the wedding, with a print release when the package includes digital files, and they send your venue a certificate of insurance.

Pros

How we built the Wellington photographer list.

Mark Studios made this list and ranks itself first. No one paid to appear on it, and we quote our own shoots one by one.

Who's included
Google’s first page for photographers wellington fl, read logged out on October 21, 2026, mixes directories with family and equestrian photographers. From it we took Susan Miller Photography, Nicole Schultz Photography and the “Wellington Family Photographer” result, which we matched to Captured Moments by Dawn’s family page by its title, and from the map results Katie Lewis Photography and Organic Moments Photography and Design. Our own searches for family, equestrian and headshot photographers in Wellington added Suzane Bacelar Films + Photos, The Love Pics, James Caprio Photography, In Hand and ES Equine Photography, each checked on its own site. We left out Studio One to One Photography, a portrait studio in the map results, because its website, studio121wellington.com, had no DNS records on October 21, so we couldn’t read its sessions or prices; Caprileous Photography, also in the map results, because its own site blocked our checker and, where it loaded, said only that it is based in Florida and published no prices; and WeddingWire’s Wellington wedding-photographer page, which returned an error. Yelp and the “Photographers in Wellington, Florida” directory are directories, so Thumbtack is the one marketplace. We don’t count Google reviews.
What we checked
We read every photographer’s own site on October 21, 2026 for where it is based, the sessions it offers, published prices, what a session includes and stated delivery, plus Thumbtack’s Wellington page and cost guide. For the planning notes we read Wellington International’s accreditation page and spectator FAQ, the National Polo Center, Palm Beach County Parks’ photography permit and Okeeheelee Park pages, the Village of Wellington’s Peaceful Waters Sanctuary page and the county film commission’s permit page. Where a photographer’s own pages disagree, its card says so.
How it's ordered
Grouped by kind of shoot, in this order: family, newborn and portrait; equestrian; weddings; business, headshots and events; then the marketplace, alphabetical within each group. Mark Studios is first because it is our pick; nobody else is ranked or scored.
What the data says

Published family-session prices from Wellington photographers start at $295 for 45 minutes with The Love Pics, $350 for an hour outdoors with Susan Miller and $600 for up to six people with Katie Lewis, while Suzane Bacelar charges a $100 or $250 session fee and sells the images separately. Newborn sessions run $500–$700. Horse-show coverage is priced by the week, $800 to $1,250 for one horse, and headshots start at $150. Frequently asked questions

Who is the best photographer in Wellington, FL?

Mark Studios is our pick for businesses, galas, club events and weddings: it comes to any location in Wellington, can film video on the same visit, and edits every image in house. For family and newborn sessions, which Mark Studios doesn’t run, Katie Lewis and Susan Miller are based in Wellington and publish prices from $600 and $350. For horses and riders, Nicole Schultz or In Hand; for a headshot, James Caprio, from $150.

How much does a family photographer cost in Wellington?

Checked on each photographer’s site on October 21, 2026: The Love Pics charges $295 for 45 minutes and up to 25 photos, or $425 for an hour; Susan Miller, $350 for an hour outdoors with 15 edited images; Katie Lewis, $600 for 45–60 minutes, up to six people and 50+ images. Suzane Bacelar’s session fee is $100 in her studio or $250 on location, plus images from $150 or $600. Newborn sessions start at $500 (Susan Miller) and $700 (Katie Lewis).

Who photographs horses and riders in Wellington?

Equestrian specialists. Nicole Schultz lives in Wellington, works Wellington International from November to April and covers show weeks for private clients from $800 a week before WEF. ES Equine Photography sells WEF photo or video coverage at $1,250 a week for one horse. In Hand, a Wellington photo and film studio, works for barns on retainer, shoots sale horses and books single portrait sessions. Mark Studios doesn’t photograph horses or shows; it covers the businesses, events and weddings around them.

Can I bring my own photographer to the Winter Equestrian Festival?

Only one the showgrounds have accredited. Wellington International prohibits professional photography of any kind without accreditation, and spectators may not use flash or long or detachable lenses. Applications for the 2027 Winter Equestrian Festival and Global Dressage Festival have closed, and accredited photographers carry $1 million in liability insurance. Ask any equestrian photographer whether they hold accreditation for the season, or plan the photos at the barn instead.

Does Mark Studios photograph families or horses?

No. Its Wellington work is business, event and wedding photography, which takes in a wedding’s family groups and a company event’s team portraits, but there are no standalone family, newborn, maternity or couples sessions and no horse-show or sale-horse coverage. The family, newborn and portrait group and the equestrian group above list who does that work.

Do I need a permit for a photo session in a park near Wellington?

In Palm Beach County parks such as Okeeheelee Park, yes: the county requires its photography permit for every paid session. A day permit is $50 plus tax for one session of up to three hours in one park, a year’s permit is $150 plus tax per photographer, and processing takes five business days. The Village of Wellington’s page for Peaceful Waters Sanctuary doesn’t mention a permit, but the sanctuary closes at dusk, so check with the Village before a sunset session there.

Where can I get headshots in Wellington?

James Caprio Photography is in Wellington and charges $150 for a 30-minute session with two retouched images, or from $75 a person for a team at your office. Susan Miller’s headshots start at $150, and The Love Pics starts at $225 with lighting brought to your office. For a whole practice or company, Mark Studios photographs the team on site and can film it the same day. Our West Palm Beach headshot list has more options.

Among the others, Suzane Bacelar makes family films alongside her photos, In Hand shoots film for barns and riders, The Love Pics adds cinematic video to proposals, Organic Moments has an in-house wedding video team, Nicole Schultz includes short video clips with show coverage, and ES Equine Photography sells photo or video show coverage.
