Best-of list

Best photographers in Palm Beach County, FL (2026)

From Tequesta and Jupiter down to Boca Raton and west to Wellington and the Glades, our pick for business, event and wedding photos is Mark Studios: Mark photographs on location in any town in the county, can film video on the same visit, and edits every image himself, with a written quote for each shoot. Mark Studios doesn’t run family or newborn sessions; for those and every other kind of shoot, thirteen more photographers follow, grouped by kind of shoot and tagged with the town each works from, and the By town section links our city-by-city lists.

One caveat before you read on: Mark Studios wrote this list and put its own studio at the top, so treat it as a guide from a competitor, not an independent review. Every other card is built from that photographer’s own pages, each dated to the day we read them (how we compared).

Our pick

Need photos anywhere in the county? Start with Mark Studios.

A photo job in Palm Beach County might be team headshots in a Boca Raton office park, a ballroom gala in Palm Beach Gardens, a listing on the Intracoastal or a new menu in Delray Beach. Mark Studios is based in the county and shoots on location in every one of its cities, towns and villages, plus The Acreage and Jupiter Farms, so the person who plans your shot list is the one behind the camera and the one editing the set.

  • Business, event and wedding photos from one studio. Headshots and team photos, brand and lifestyle sets, product and menu shots, listings and commercial space, galas and conferences, and weddings, in any town from Tequesta to Boca Raton.
  • Stills and video from the same visit. Book filming alongside the photos and both share one look, edited by the same studio, with every image selected, color-corrected and cleaned up before it reaches you.

By town: our photographer lists for each city.

This page weighs photographers across the whole county. When your shoot sits in one city, its own list goes deeper, with the photographers based there, the parks and venues nearby and the local prices.

How a photo shoot with Mark runs in each town: West Palm Beach, Wellington, Lake Worth Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach, Greenacres, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Boca Raton.

Photographing in Palm Beach County: what to plan for.

Four rules that shape a photo shoot anywhere in the county, from the county parks department, the film commission, the Town of Palm Beach and the FAA, read on October 23, 2026.

  1. County parks: a permit for every paid session

Taking pictures for yourself in a county park needs no paperwork, provided you stay on the designated paths and picnic areas between sunrise and sunset and nothing you set down gets in other visitors’ way. Once a business is photographing clients there, whether for family portraits, an engagement or proposal, a birthday or anniversary, or someone’s portfolio, the parks department requires a photography permit. A daily permit is $50 plus tax for one session of up to three hours at a single park; an annual one is $150 plus tax, runs January 1 to December 31 whenever you buy it, isn’t prorated, and covers any number of days, parks and clients, never more than three hours per park per day. Permits are issued per photographer, so a studio sending two people buys two, and processing takes five business days. Riverbend Park in Jupiter handles its own daily applications.

  2. Ads and catalogs count as commercial work

When the photos are headed for an advertisement, a calendar, a catalog, a guidebook or a magazine, the parks department treats the job as commercial and passes scheduling and fees to the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission. Its one-stop office permits shoots on public land anywhere in the county, parks, beaches, streets, sidewalks and public buildings alike, free of charge, needs three business days for a standard application, and asks for a $1 million comprehensive or commercial general liability policy; its staff then coordinate with each municipality for you. Private property can need a permit too if the shoot spills onto a neighboring road or sidewalk. The one place it doesn’t cover is the Town of Palm Beach, which you contact directly.

  3. Beaches: turtle season and the Town of Palm Beach

Sea turtle nesting season runs from March 1 to October 31, and under the film commission’s standard conditions for beach shoots in that window, no lights may be used on the sand before sunrise or after sunset. County beaches are checked every day, but not every nest is marked, so a nest could be anywhere; book beach portraits in daylight, skip the flash at dusk and stay off the dunes and their plants. Across the bridge, the Town of Palm Beach runs its own system: a gathering with guests or any setup on public property needs a special event permit from the Town Clerk’s Office, and the Town’s FAQ says that includes small, quick wedding ceremonies and engagements at its parks and beaches.

  4. Drones near DJT and its flight restrictions

For aerial listing or event photos, the pilot works under the FAA’s Part 107 rule, and the film commission folds that rule into its own permit: the operator needs a remote pilot airman certificate, the aircraft has to be registered and weigh less than 55 pounds, flying is limited to the window from 30 minutes before official sunrise to 30 minutes after official sunset, and any flight in Class B, C, D or E airspace at or below 400 feet needs LAANC approval first, with three full business days as the normal minimum for processing. President Donald J Trump International Airport (DJT), formerly Palm Beach International, lies between West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, about 4.5 miles west of Palm Beach, and its airspace is Class C. The FAA tells pilots to expect frequent temporary flight restrictions there for VIP movement and special events, so read the NOTAMs on the morning of the shoot. LAANC requests can be filed up to 90 days early; at airports without LAANC, FAADroneZone requests have historically taken up to eight weeks.

Mark Studios is a founder-led photo and video studio based in Palm Beach County, and Mark photographs on location in every city, town and village in it, plus The Acreage and Jupiter Farms, with Broward and Martin counties covered as well. The work is for businesses, events and couples: headshots and team photos at your office or practice; brand and lifestyle sets of your people, your space and your work in progress; product photos for e-commerce and menus; homes, rentals and commercial property; restaurants and hospitality; galas, conferences, launches and fundraisers; and weddings, where the films and the photos come from one booking. Add filming to the same session and the stills and the footage share one look, and before anything is delivered Mark selects the strongest frames and color-corrects and cleans up every image, sized for web, social and print. For Sovereign Self-Defense he photographed and filmed the Keep America Armed gala in the ballroom at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens in July 2026, then cut the highlight reel, What Patriotism Looks Like in 2026. A February 2024 wedding in Deerfield Beach, from the first look and a ceremony by the ocean to the reception, came back as four edited films and the photo set. The studio counts 10,000+ projects delivered and 4,500+ reviews, and holds Top Rated status on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating and 99% of orders on time.

Samantha Borgos of Sovereign Self-Defense, whose events and workshops Mark Studios has photographed across South Florida since that gala: “It has completely changed the way that we do business.”

Quality Media FL was founded in Boca Raton by Misha, who runs a photo and video team that counts more than 1,000 clients across South Florida. Its Palm Beach event page covers conferences and seminars, trade shows, product launches, corporate retreats, dinners and networking nights, and the gala and fundraiser page, which names West Palm Beach and Jupiter among its working areas, lists speaker photos, award presentations, sponsor and branding shots, formal portraits and group photos, VIP and honoree moments and room details, with highlight films, speaker clips and social cuts when video is added. Headshots, business and restaurant shoots, real estate, drone work, family portraits, maternity and graduations are also on the menu, and weddings go through its separate brand, QM Weddings. Each job begins with a call and a custom quote, and editing takes a few days to a few weeks depending on volume.

Pros

  • Event photos and video planned together
  • Sponsor and honoree coverage at galas
  • Drone and real estate on the same menu

Yolanda Hill is a West Palm Beach wedding photographer whose team covers weddings throughout Palm Beach County, the rest of South Florida and the Florida Keys, and offers wedding videography next to the photos. She has photographed weddings since 2009, hundreds of them by her own count, and describes her style as candid moments mixed with guided portraits, using off-camera lighting so that dark reception rooms, hard midday sun and sudden rain still give usable pictures. Engagement, family, maternity and senior sessions are on her menu too. We found no prices on the pages we could open; her investment page returned an error when we checked, so ask for a quote.

Pros

  • Weddings since 2009
  • Photos and film from one team
  • Lighting for evening and indoor receptions

Cons

  • No prices on the pages we could read

How we built the Palm Beach County photographer list.

Mark Studios made this list and puts itself first. No one paid to appear on it, and our own photo shoots are priced one quote at a time.

Who’s included
Photographers and studios based in the county, sorted by the kind of shoot they take, plus one freelance marketplace. We started from the photographers on our town lists and a web search on October 23, 2026 for newborn and family photographers across Palm Beach County, then kept those whose own sites we could read that day, spreading the picks from Jupiter and Wellington to Boca Raton. Because the same photographers work all over the county, several also appear on our town lists; their cards here are written for the county as a whole. We left out Diana Cecilia Photography, whose wedding prices are published but who is based in Fort Lauderdale; The Mobile Headshot, which serves three counties from a home base its site doesn’t name; Jessica Meves Photography, whose site refused our checker; Jason Nuttle Photography, whose about page gave our checker no readable text; and Flytographer’s Palm Beach vacation sessions, which our West Palm Beach and Boca Raton lists already cover. Yelp, The Knot and Giggster are directories rather than photographers, so Thumbtack is the one marketplace here.
What we checked
On October 23, 2026 we read each photographer’s own site for where it works from, the sessions it offers, published prices, delivery and what a booking includes, plus Thumbtack’s West Palm Beach event photographer page and its cost guide. For the planning section we read the county parks photography rules, the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission’s permitting, sea turtle and drone pages, the Town of Palm Beach’s FAQ, and the FAA’s DJT airport and Part 107 airspace authorization pages.
How it’s ordered
By kind of shoot: family and newborn; headshots and teams; branding and business; real estate; events; weddings; then the marketplace, alphabetical inside each group. Mark Studios comes first because it is our pick; nobody else is ranked or scored.
What the data says

Published starting points around the county run from $165 for unlimited listing photos at Boca Raton Studio and $185 at Lux Photo and Video, and $195 for a one-look headshot at Lloyd’s Studio, through $350 for an outdoor family session at Susan Miller, $500 for her studio newborn session and $650 for a family session at JL Jones, to $1,200 for a product project and $2,500 for corporate event coverage at Kim Fontaine and $550 an hour for events at Lars Miller Media. Thumbtack’s national average for a photographer is $358. Our event photographer cost guide breaks event prices down by job, and the Palm Beach County photography page shows how a shoot with Mark runs.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best photographer in Palm Beach County?

For business, event and wedding photos, Mark Studios: Mark photographs on location in every town in the county, from Tequesta to Boca Raton and out to the Glades, can film video on the same visit, edits every image himself and quotes each shoot in writing, and Mark Studios is Top Rated on Fiverr at 4.9★ with 99% of orders on time. It doesn’t run family or newborn sessions. By kind of shoot, the others are JL Jones Photography, Olga Clarke Photography or Susan Miller Photography for family and newborn portraits; Lloyd’s Studio or Peter O’Hara Photography for headshots; Kim Fontaine Photography or Lars Miller Media for product and brand work; Boca Raton Studio or Lux Photo and Video for listings; Capehart Photography or Quality Media FL for events and galas; Yolanda Hill Photography for a wedding; and Thumbtack for freelance quotes.

How much does a photographer cost in Palm Beach County?

From the photographers’ own pages on October 23, 2026: listing photos start at $165 at Boca Raton Studio and $185 at Lux Photo and Video; a headshot is $195 at Lloyd’s Studio or $250 plus $100 an image at Peter O’Hara; a family session is $350 and up at Susan Miller and $650 at JL Jones, a studio newborn session $500 at Susan Miller, and Olga Clarke charges a $450 session fee, with clients spending at least $1,950 on a Signature Session; product projects begin at $1,200 at Kim Fontaine and an Amazon listing set at $1,550 at Lars Miller Media; and event coverage runs $550 an hour at Lars Miller or from $2,500 at Kim Fontaine. Thumbtack’s national average for a photographer is $358. Capehart, Quality Media FL and Yolanda Hill quote each job, as does Mark Studios. Our event photographer cost guide goes further on events.

Do I need a permit for a photo session in a Palm Beach County park?

For a paid session, yes. Visitors may photograph for themselves on a county park’s designated paths and picnic areas from sunrise to sunset, but a business photographing clients there, for family portraits, engagements, proposals, birthdays or portfolios, needs a parks photography permit: $50 plus tax for one session of up to three hours at one park, or $150 plus tax for sessions at any number of parks through the calendar year, with no more than three hours per park per day. Each permit covers one photographer and takes five business days, Riverbend Park in Jupiter takes its own daily applications, and photos for ads, catalogs or magazines are commercial work scheduled through the county film commission instead.

Can I book a beach photo session in Palm Beach County?

Yes, with two things in mind. From March 1 to October 31, sea turtle nesting season, the county film commission’s conditions for beach shoots allow no lights on the beach before sunrise or after sunset, so plan beach portraits around daylight and keep off the dunes. And on the island, the Town of Palm Beach issues its own permits: any gathering with guests or setup on public property needs a special event permit from the Town Clerk’s Office, and the Town says that includes small, quick wedding ceremonies or engagements at its parks and beaches.

Who photographs newborns and families in Palm Beach County?

Three entries here specialize in it. Olga Clarke Photography shoots newborns, maternity and families in a natural-light studio and garden in West Palm Beach, with wardrobe, hair and makeup included; Susan Miller Photography poses newborns in her Wellington studio for $500 and runs outdoor family sessions from $350; and JL Jones Photography in Jupiter charges $650 for a family session with 15 downloads. Mark Studios doesn’t take family, newborn, maternity or couples sessions; for more choice by town, see our West Palm Beach, Wellington and Boca Raton photographer lists.

Can a photographer do headshots for our whole team at the office?

Yes. Peter O’Hara brings his studio to offices across Palm Beach County and recommends at least 10 people for a corporate session; Lloyd’s Studio photographs matching team headshots at its downtown Boca Raton studio or at your office and stages large group photos on location; and Mark Studios photographs teams where they work, keeping the setup consistent so people who join later match the rest. Our West Palm Beach headshot photographer list compares more options, with per-person prices.

Can I fly a drone for listing or event photos in Palm Beach County?

Yes, if the pilot follows the FAA’s Part 107 rule, which the county film commission writes into its permits: a registered drone under 55 pounds, a remote pilot certificate, daylight or twilight flying only, LAANC approval for controlled airspace at or below 400 feet, and at least three full business days to process. The airport the FAA lists as President Donald J Trump International (DJT), formerly Palm Beach International, sits in Class C airspace between West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, and the FAA warns of frequent temporary flight restrictions there, so check NOTAMs on the day.

Does Mark Studios photograph weddings in Palm Beach County?

Yes. Weddings anywhere in the county are part of the work, with the films and the photos coming from one booking: in February 2024 Mark filmed and photographed a wedding in Deerfield Beach and delivered four edited films and the photo set. Each wedding is quoted in writing. See wedding videography and photography in Palm Beach County, or our West Palm Beach wedding photographer list for specialists.
