Best-of list

Best photographers in Delray Beach, FL (2026)

For Delray Beach restaurants, hotels, shops, practices and events, our pick is Mark Studios: Mark photographs on location, schedules around service, can film video on the same visit, and edits every image in house, with a written quote per shoot. Booking family photos on the beach? Mark Studios doesn’t run those sessions, so the first group below lists who does, from Delray Beach Photography’s $295 kids’ mini to Gozde Turgut’s on-location sessions from $745.

How this list works: Mark Studios publishes it and ranks its own service, so this is not an independent review. Every other option’s facts come from its own site, with the date we checked (how we compared).

Our pick

For a Delray Beach restaurant, hotel, shop or event, book Mark Studios.

In Delray Beach most customers meet a business on their phone before they walk in: the plate, the room, the window display. Mark Studios photographs those on location, along Atlantic Avenue and across the city, plans the shoot around service, and edits every frame as one studio. It doesn’t run family, maternity or couples sessions; the photographers who do come first below.

  • Plates, rooms, shelves and teams. Food and cocktails, hotel rooms and terraces, boutique collections, practitioners and treatment spaces, headshots, and openings and charity events, anywhere in Delray Beach and the rest of Palm Beach County.
  • Booked around your busy hours. Dishes before dinner service, rooms between check-out and check-in, the street and terraces in the softest light, and clients kept out of frame unless they consent.
  • You work directly with Mark. Top Rated on Fiverr, a 4.9★ rating, 10,000+ projects and 99% on-time delivery, with video from the same visit if you want it.

Photographing in Delray Beach: what to plan for.

Four things to sort out before a photo shoot in Delray Beach, from the City of Delray Beach, the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission and the FAA, all read October 23, 2026.

  1. Shooting on public property needs a film permit, stills included

The City of Delray Beach says a film permit is required for a film, video or still photography shoot on a public right-of-way or other public property in the city. City departments review each request, but the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission takes and processes the applications. The commission’s permits are free, need three business days and a $1 million general liability policy, and for productions in a business district or a residential street it asks for written notice to each directly affected merchant or neighbor at least 48 hours ahead. Before a session on Atlantic Avenue or the sand, ask your photographer how they have squared it with the commission.

  2. At the Morikami, book a private session

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, at 4000 Morikami Park Road inside Palm Beach County’s Morikami Park, is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. During those hours personal photos are fine with a small hand-held camera, but extra equipment, props and outfit changes aren’t, and its prohibited-items list rules out tripods, extra lighting, reflective screens and gimbals outside a pre-arranged event, and drones at any time. A private photography session outside opening hours is $250 plus 7% tax for up to three people for two hours, then $25 plus tax for each extra guest up to eight, with the photographer counted; a $100 refundable deposit is due at booking, and the Facility Rental Department needs three to seven days’ notice. Slots run Mondays 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday to Friday 8 to 10 a.m., and Monday to Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. depending on the season, with weekends limited by private events. The museum’s exhibits and galleries can’t be photographed, props need approval, and changing happens only in its changing rooms. Ads, catalogs and magazine shoots count as commercial: a certificate of insurance goes to the film commission, the museum asks for a donation, and location credit is required.

  3. On the beach, turtle season runs March to October

Delray Municipal Beach covers a mile and a half of coast centered on the east end of Atlantic Avenue, and dogs aren’t allowed on it, so leave the family dog out of a beach session. Atlantic Dunes Park, on A1A one block north of Linton Boulevard, is the quieter option, with a boardwalk, a 300-foot nature trail through the dunes and metered parking. Sea turtle nesting season is March 1 to October 31, and the film commission’s standard conditions for filming in those months allow no lights on the beach before sunrise or after sunset and no tripod legs deeper than six inches in the sand. Plan sunrise and sunset sessions around natural light from spring to fall.

  4. Drones need paperwork, and the gardens ban them

For aerials of a hotel, a waterfront home or a beach event, the film commission’s drone rules ask for a remote pilot certificate under the FAA’s Part 107 rule, a registered drone under 55 pounds, LAANC approval for flights in Class B, C, D or E airspace up to 400 feet, and a minimum of three full business days to process, with flying limited to daylight and the 30 minutes either side of it. The FAA’s B4UFLY apps show where drones can and can’t fly, including temporary flight restrictions. The Morikami calls itself a no-drone zone, so the gardens are off the list for aerials.

Mark Studios is a founder-led studio in Palm Beach County, and Delray Beach is in the south of the county it photographs on location. In Delray that means plates and cocktails as they leave the kitchen and the bar, for menus and delivery apps; rooms, pools, terraces and lobbies for hotel websites and booking platforms; boutique collections and products for online shops and social; practitioners, staff and treatment rooms for wellness practices, with clients in frame only with signed consent; natural headshots for owners and teams; and openings, launches and charity events, delivered as an edited selection. It photographs Delray Beach weddings too. Shoots are timed around service, with dishes in the quiet hours before dinner and rooms between check-out and check-in, and every image is selected, retouched and sized for web and print, with video from the same visit if you want it. In July 2026 Mark Studios photographed and filmed the Sovereign Self-Defense Keep America Armed gala in the ballroom at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, and cut the highlight reel, What Patriotism Looks Like in 2026. In February 2024, in Deerfield Beach, it filmed and photographed a wedding from the first look and a ceremony by the ocean through the reception, and delivered four films and the edited photos. Site figures: 10,000+ projects delivered, 4,500+ reviews, Top Rated on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating, and 99% on-time delivery.

Samantha Borgos, of Sovereign Self-Defense, on the studio that photographed and filmed her company’s gala: “It has completely changed the way that we do business.”

Pros

  • Shoots timed around service: dishes before dinner, rooms between guests
  • Menus, rooms and products sized for delivery apps, booking sites and online shops
  • Stills and video from one visit, edited by one studio

Good to know

  • Not a family-portrait studio: no family, maternity, newborn or couples sessions (see the family and beach portraits group)
  • Priced by quote; no published photo prices
  • No walk-in studio; every shoot is on location
  • No published delivery time for photos; your quote sets it

Scope from our Delray Beach photographer and Palm Beach County photography pages; the gala is on our event videography page, the wedding on our wedding videography and photography page, and the quote on our reviews page.

Mark Studios doesn’t take these sessions. The five photographers here are based in Delray Beach or live there, as their own sites said on October 23, 2026; Flytographer, a booking marketplace, comes last.

Anastasia calls herself a portrait photographer based in Delray Beach, and photographs women, couples and families there and in Boca Raton. She earned a design degree and worked as a designer before taking up photography, and says she guides first-timers through natural posing. The gallery stays up for three months, so download early. She helps choose the location, moves indoors or reschedules if the weather turns, sells gift certificates, and replies to inquiries within two business days. Her site lists no prices.

Pros

  • Based in Delray Beach
  • Light, natural retouching on every selected image
  • A stated three-week delivery

Cons

  • No published prices
  • Gallery expires after three months

JS Portrait Studio is Jani’s studio in Delray Beach, which specializes in family, children, maternity and pet photography and also serves Boynton Beach, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Parkland and nearby towns; headshots, seniors and newborns are in its portfolio too. Headshots within a week; bigger shoots dated before the shoot

Danielle describes herself as a Boynton Beach commercial photographer, with a home-based studio open by appointment, who shoots on location at offices, restaurants and venues across Palm Beach County, Delray Beach included. Restaurants are a specialty: dishes edited and sized for menus, delivery apps and online ordering, plus dining-room interiors and styled food for social and press, and her restaurant page lists Ripe Delray Restaurant among the restaurant and hospitality clients she has worked with, with Fit Foodz Café and Pastaiolo Bar. She also photographs product and food brands on set, corporate events and retreats, and headshots, where a regular session yields four to five final images, delivered within a week. The Headshots Company lists the same Delray Beach studio on North Congress Avenue and the same phone number as 4th Avenue Photography, the commercial studio Matt Sturgess runs, which also photographs products, interiors and architecture and makes interview, testimonial and walkthrough videos for South Florida businesses. A studio session is $350 per person: 30–45 minutes with expression coaching, several backgrounds and looks, and two fully retouched images, with more at $75 each. Team headshots at your office start at $225 a person, a conference booth is $2,000 for four hours or $3,500 for eight, and half is due at booking. Proofs come the same or next day and retouched files within 48–72 hours. An on-site setup needs about 10 by 12 feet and one outlet. 4th Avenue’s own team-portrait page gives two figures for booth throughput: 20–30 people an hour per station in one place, about 40–60 in another.

Pros

  • Retouched files in 48–72 hours
  • Studio, office or conference booth

Cons

Real estate and interiors

Mark Studios photographs Delray hotel rooms, pools, terraces and lobbies for booking sites. We didn’t find a listing-photo company based in Delray Beach with Delray work on its own site, so this group has no entries. Two companies already compared on our other lists have Delray Beach pages: Estate Shutter FL, on our West Palm Beach photographer list, and V1 Real Estate Photography, based in Coral Springs, on our Jupiter photographer list. For interiors and architecture, 4th Avenue Photography and Debra Somerville, above, both shoot them.

Weddings

Mark Studios, our pick, photographs Delray Beach weddings and can film them in the same booking, and the Morikami hosts weddings and ceremonies in its gardens. Flytographer doesn’t photograph Delray weddings. For wedding specialists and their packages, see our wedding photographers in West Palm Beach list.

Thumbtack lets you describe a photo job and compare quotes and reviews from independent photographers around Delray Beach; its Delray page says “There are 167 five star Affordable Photographers in Delray Beach, FL on Thumbtack,” and you never pay to use it. Its national price guide puts the average photographer at $358, with most charging between $265 and $483 and some weddings above $1,000, and its Delray page quotes $150–$200 as the national average for family photographers. None of those figures are Delray Beach prices.

Pros

  • Free for customers
  • Several quotes from one request
  • Reviews on each pro

Cons

  • National, not local, price figures
  • Deliverables depend on who you hire

How we built the Delray Beach list.

Mark Studios is our pick, and we wrote this list. No provider paid to be listed. Our shoots are quoted per project.

Who's included
We searched on October 23, 2026 for Delray Beach family, beach, newborn, branding, restaurant, headshot and real estate photographers, and kept the ones based in Delray Beach, or living there, whose own sites say what they shoot and how a session works; Danielle Imagery, next door in Boynton Beach, is in for its Delray restaurant work. That gave five portrait photographers plus Flytographer’s Delray page, three branding and commercial photographers, one headshot studio and Thumbtack. Lars Miller Media is also on our West Palm Beach list; it is here too because it is based in Delray. We left out Delray Beach Portraits, whose domain showed a parked placeholder page on October 23; Moments by LP, a Boca Raton photographer whose Delray page is a town landing page; Florencia RL, which describes itself as a Fort Lauderdale photographer; Megan Richards Photography, whose site returned an error (HTTP 403) when we tried to read it; Captured Moments by Dawn, a Lake Worth newborn studio already on our Wellington and Lake Worth Beach lists; The Mobile Headshot and Maicol Photography, which have Delray Beach pages but are compared on our headshot list; V1 Real Estate Photography, based in Coral Springs and on our Jupiter list; GoPhotos, a Boca Raton listing studio whose Delray page is a templated service-area page; and The Wave Marketing, whose Delray Beach page now redirects to its homepage. Yelp, Fash, Bark, Airbnb and Peerspace are directories or rental marketplaces.

On October 23, 2026 we read each photographer’s own pages for where it is based, what it shoots, published prices, what a session includes and stated delivery, plus the City of Delray Beach film-permit, beach and Atlantic Dunes Park pages, the Morikami’s photography rules and visitor policies, the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission’s permit, sea-turtle and drone pages, and the FAA’s B4UFLY page. Where a site’s own pages disagree, we say so.
How it's ordered
By kind of shoot: family and beach portraits; branding, restaurants and shops; headshots and teams; notes on real estate and weddings; then a marketplace. Alphabetical inside each group, except that Flytographer, a marketplace, comes last among the portrait photographers. Mark Studios is listed first as our pick; the others are not ranked against each other, and there are no scores.
What the data says

How much does a photographer cost in Delray Beach?

It depends on the shoot. From each photographer’s own site on October 23, 2026: a 20-minute kids’ studio mini is $295 (Delray Beach Photography), a 30-minute vacation shoot $325 (Flytographer) and an on-location family session from $745 (Gozde Turgut), while JS Portrait Studio ($320) and Jessica de Photography ($300) charge a session fee and sell the images separately, from $1,200 and $1,100. Delray Beach Photography’s $295 studio mini is 20 minutes for one or two children with 15–20 images; its 30-minute studio session, listed as coming soon, is $495 plus $100 for each extra child. Gozde Turgut’s on-location sessions run 45–75 minutes from $745, and Flytographer starts at $325 for 30 minutes. JS Portrait Studio takes a $320 retainer that covers hair and makeup and a two-hour session, then sells collections from $1,200; Jessica de Photography’s $300 creative fee covers wardrobe, hair and makeup, with images bought separately and client investment from $1,100. Can you do a photo shoot at the Morikami Japanese Gardens?

Only as a booked private session. During opening hours, Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors may take personal photos with a small hand-held camera, but extra equipment, props and outfit changes aren’t allowed, and tripods (outside a pre-arranged event) and drones are prohibited. A private session outside opening hours costs $250 plus 7% tax for up to three people for two hours, and $25 plus tax for each extra guest up to eight, with the photographer counted; a $100 refundable deposit is due at booking, at least three to seven days ahead, through the Facility Rental Department. Commercial shoots also go through the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission.

Do you need a permit for a photo shoot in Delray Beach?

On public property, yes. The City of Delray Beach says a film permit is required for a film, video or still photography shoot on a public right-of-way or other public property, and the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission processes the applications; its permits are free, take three business days and need a $1 million general liability policy. From March 1 to October 31, its sea turtle conditions allow no lights on the beach before sunrise or after sunset. Private venues set their own rules, and the Morikami books sessions itself. Ask your photographer how they handle permits before you book.

Does Mark Studios do family portraits?

No. Mark Studios photographs Delray Beach restaurants, hotels, boutiques, wellness practices, events and weddings, including the family groups at a wedding, but it doesn’t run family, maternity, newborn or couples sessions. For those, see the family and beach portraits group above: Gozde Turgut and Anastasia Photography are based in Delray and come to you, and Delray Beach Photography, JS Portrait Studio and Jessica de Photography offer studio or styled sessions.

How much do headshots cost in Delray Beach?

The Headshots Company, which shares a Delray Beach studio with 4th Avenue Photography, charges $350 per person for a 30–45-minute studio session with two retouched images ($75 for each extra), from $225 per person for teams at your office and $2,000 for a four-hour conference booth, with retouched files in 48–72 hours. Lars Miller Media starts at $195 for a quick session at your location, $275 for a full one and $550 for personal branding. Danielle Imagery delivers headshots within a week from her Boynton Beach studio but doesn’t publish prices. Mark Studios photographs owners, practitioners and teams on site and quotes each shoot.

Who photographs restaurants in Delray Beach?

Mark Studios photographs Delray Beach restaurants around service, shooting each dish in the quiet hours before dinner and delivering a set sized for menus, websites and delivery apps. Danielle Imagery specializes in menu and delivery-app food photos and lists Ripe Delray Restaurant among its restaurant clients. Lars Miller Media photographs food and beverage products for online stores and Amazon, and Debra Somerville covers products and interiors.

Can one photographer also shoot video?

Yes. Mark Studios films on the same visit as the photos, so the stills and the footage share one look. Of the others, 4th Avenue Photography, The Headshots Company’s sister studio, makes interview, testimonial and walkthrough videos, and Lars Miller Media films simple talking-head video and brings in a partner videographer for bigger projects. Flytographer offers no video in Delray. See videographer in Delray Beach for filming in the city.
