The Short Answer: Social Media Post Design Cost
A designed social media post costs about $5–$50 from a Fiverr freelancer at 2026 starting prices, where carousel design gigs start at a median of $15. A done-for-you service such as $99 Social works out to about $10 a post ($99 a month for 10), and an unlimited design subscription costs $699–$995 a month and up (ManyPixels, Penji).
Some Fiverr links on this page are affiliate links: Mark Studios may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no cost to you.
Those are other companies' published prices, checked October 26, 2026, not ours. Mark Studios designs posts, carousels and stories in each client's brand and quotes every order, so there is no Mark Studios price on this page.

What a Carousel Costs on Fiverr

Fiverr lists 2,161 carousel design services, and 34 of the 48 on page one start at $25 or less (our count). Searches for one platform look the same: Instagram carousel gigs start at a median of $12.50 across 1,776 services, and LinkedIn carousel gigs at a median of $20 across 413.
A starting price is the seller's smallest package. Before you compare two gigs, check four things in the package table: how many slides it covers, whether you supply the text, how many revisions it includes, and whether you get the editable file (a Canva link or a source file) or only the exported images.
Per Post or per Month?

At three posts a week, a done-for-you service is the cheapest line in the chart, and it also writes the captions and publishes the posts. Its carousels are short, though: $99 Social's carousel add-on, starting at $5 a month, turns static posts into 2–4 slide carousels. A teaching carousel often runs 5 to 10 slides, and Instagram's carousels now hold up to 20 photos or videos, double the old limit of 10.
A design subscription costs more, but it isn't priced per post. One fee covers ads, flyers, presentations and anything else you queue, so it pays off when social posts are only part of the design you need each month. If social graphics are all you need, per-order design or a posting service costs less.
What Moves the Price
- Slides. A single image is one design; a 10-slide carousel is ten layouts that have to read in order.
- Copy. Writing the post text and caption is often an add-on on freelance gigs. $99 Social includes it.
- Brand setup. Someone has to build templates around your logo, colors and fonts before the first post. Ask whether the price covers a reusable template set.
- Sizes. Portrait 4:5 for the feed, square 1:1 and full-screen 9:16 stories are three exports. Ask which ones each design comes in.
- Revisions. $99 Social runs at least two rounds on your first batch, and ManyPixels includes unlimited revisions. Gigs vary.
- Turnaround. Penji's Essentials plan works to a 1-day turnaround, its Agency Partner plan same-day; freelancers set delivery per gig.
- Posting. Design-only orders hand you files. Posting services and managers publish them for you.
How to Get an Accurate Design Quote
Send these with your first message and quotes will compare like for like:
- How many posts a month, and which platforms.
- The mix: single images, carousels (and how many slides), stories.
- Who writes the words: your text, or the post copy and captions written for you.
- Your brand kit: logo, colors, fonts, photos and three posts you like the look of.
- The files you need: exports in each size, plus the editable templates if you'll make some posts yourself.
- Your first post date, and whether you want the posts published for you.
