The Short Answer: What Twitch Emotes Cost
A custom Twitch emote costs about $15–$65 from an independent artist in 2026, with a median of $30 across six artists' published price sheets read on November 6, 2026. Animated emotes run $25–$110, and sub badges $10–$25 per design. On Fiverr, page-one emote gigs start lower still: $5–$85, with a $10 median.
Those are other artists' prices, not ours. Mark Studios designs custom emotes and badges and quotes each set, so there is no Mark Studios price on this page.
A channel's emotes work as a set, so the useful comparison is a starter set of five: $60–$325 on the same six sheets.

Three things explain the spread. Style comes first: a flat chibi emote takes less drawing than a fully rendered one. Then the licence: two of these artists keep the copyright and license the emotes for streaming and community chat only, with merchandise rights sold separately. And the extras: badge recolors, rush fees and how many revision rounds come before the price changes.

Fiverr and other marketplaces
On November 6, 2026, Fiverr's "twitch emotes" search returned 1,600+ results. The 42 page-one emote gigs had starting prices of $5–$85, with a $10 median, and the 18 that sell animated emotes started at $5–$35. A Fiverr starting price is the gig's cheapest package, so read what each tier includes. Fiverr vs Upwork vs an agency works out what the platform fees add.

What Twitch and Discord Require From the Files
A rejected upload turns into an unpriced revision, so the delivery spec belongs in the order. Twitch's emote guidelines set the rules:
- Sizes. One square image between 112×112 and 4096×4096 pixels, or three files at 28, 56 and 112 pixels.
- File size. No more than 1MB.
- Background. Fully transparent.
- Animated emotes. At most 60 frames, no more than 512KB per file when uploaded as three sizes, and nothing flashing more than three times a second.
Discord is stricter on weight. Its custom emoji guide caps each emoji under 256KB, so an animated emote built for Twitch's 1MB limit may need its own Discord export. Two of the artists above deliver one: Tiffology adds a 128×128 GIF for Discord, and Dominic Keravel sends separate Twitch and Discord GIFs.

Before You Commission Emotes: A 6-Point Check
- Count the set. List every emote, text emote and badge, and ask for the pack price, not the single price.
- Pick static or animated per emote. On the sheets that list both, animation adds $5–$45 per emote.
- Plan the badges as one design plus recolors where you can. A recolor costs $3–$5 on two of the sheets above, against $10–$25 for a new design.
- Name every platform: Twitch, Discord, Kick or YouTube, so each export is in the order.
- Read the licence. Check whether you can use the emotes on merchandise, in thumbnails or in ads, and what that costs.
- Get revisions and timing in writing. Tiffology, for example, includes three revisions at the sketch stage, generally delivers within 1–3 weeks of starting and charges 30% for rush.
Emotes are one part of a channel's look. Our guides to YouTube banner cost and logo design cost price the other pieces, and the channel branding system post shows how they fit together.
