Best-of list

Best photographers in Stuart, FL (2026)

For a Stuart charter, boat listing, boatyard, waterfront home, firm or event, our pick is Mark Studios: Mark photographs at the dock, aboard and on location across Martin County, edits every image in house, can film the same visit, and quotes each shoot in writing. For a family or senior portrait, which Mark Studios doesn’t run, Dultmeier Photography has worked from Stuart for more than 25 years, and Jessie Ebright posts her prices, from $550 for a lifestyle hour.

How this list works: Mark Studios publishes it and ranks its own service, so this is not an independent review. Every other option’s facts come from its own site, with the date we checked (how we compared).

Our pick

For Stuart boats, waterfront homes, firms and events, hire Mark Studios.

A lot of Stuart’s photography happens near the water. A charter captain needs the boat, the crew and a happy angler on the booking page; a broker needs a used boat to look as good online as it does at the dock; a riverfront house sells on the view through its windows; and the firms around the courthouse and the shops downtown need people and rooms that look like themselves. Mark Studios photographs all of that on location in Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach and Hobe Sound, and can film it on the same visit. It doesn’t run family, newborn or couples sessions; the photographers who do have their own group below.

  • Boats shot the way buyers look at them. Brokerage sets from the profile to the engine spaces, charter crews and catches, and boatyards at work, timed around glare off the water.
  • Ashore as well as afloat. Waterfront homes with the view kept in the frame, portraits for the firms near the courthouse, and downtown restaurants, shops and events.
  • You deal with Mark directly. Top Rated on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating over 8,000+ orders, and 99% on-time delivery.

Photographing in Stuart: what to plan for.

Four things to settle before a photo session or a business shoot in Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach or Hobe Sound, from Martin County’s film office, the City of Stuart, Discover Martin, Colab Gardens and the FAA, all read October 23, 2026.

  1. Martin County land: photos need no county permit

Martin County’s film office is clear on this: a commercial photo shoot on county public property needs no permit, and neither does filming for personal use or on private property with the owner’s permission. The permit is for commercial video. So if a portrait or brand session on county land in Palm City, Jensen Beach or Hobe Sound adds video, the film permit application and a certificate of liability insurance go to the film office by email at least five business days before, with the Board of County Commissioners named as additional insured at $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate. Some well-known backdrops belong to someone else, and the office lists separate contacts for them: the Town of Jupiter Island, the Village of Indiantown, The Nature Conservancy’s Blowing Rocks Preserve and the Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge.

  2. Inside the city: Stuart’s own film permit covers stills

Inside Stuart’s city limits, the county film office sends you to the city instead. The City of Stuart has its own film permit application for the use of public property, and “Stills” is one of the production types on the form, next to commercials, documentaries and video; it asks for $1 million of general and vehicle liability cover, or $5 million with pyrotechnics or stunts, and the applicant agrees to indemnify the city. It is requested through the city’s special events office, which also handles the special event permit needed for any gathering of 25 or more people with a common purpose on public property or the right-of-way. For a paid shoot on city property downtown, call that office first; the form covers public property, so a session at a client’s home or business is outside it.

  3. Beaches in turtle season, state parks and a garden for hire

Discover Martin puts sea turtle nesting on Martin County’s beaches at March 1 to October 31, when loggerheads, greens and the endangered leatherback come ashore at night, and it asks visitors to use the beach during the day, give marked nests plenty of room, fill in holes and knock down sandcastles. For a Hutchinson Island session in those months, plan for golden hour, finish as the light goes, and keep light stands and props well clear of marked nests. Florida State Parks wants a photography permit when a shoot would disrupt other visitors or for resource protection; the request goes by email to the state’s marketing and programming office at least seven days ahead, with liability insurance. If you’d rather control the setting, Colab Gardens in Stuart rents its gardens, greenhouse, mango orchard and 4,500 sq ft Luxe Barn for photo shoots, priced by the half hour.

  4. Drones: a towered airport a mile southeast of the city

The FAA lists Witham Field (SUA) one mile southeast of Stuart, with an airport traffic control tower open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the county’s filming page tells drone operators to complete the FAA paperwork, then contact the airport to request permission and notify the tower before an aerial shoot. Under Part 107, flying below 400 feet in controlled airspace needs an airspace authorization through LAANC, which can be requested up to 90 days before the flight, or through FAADroneZone, where the FAA says processing has historically taken up to eight weeks. Several listing packages on this page include drone images, so ask the photographer how they get authorization for an address near the airport before you book the day.

In Stuart, Mark Studios photographs the boats and the people who work them: charter boats, captains, crews and anglers with the day’s catch, at the dock and on board when the trip is planned with the captain; boats for brokerage listings, shot washed and cleared in the order a buyer walks them, from the profile at the dock to the helm, the cabins and the engine spaces; and boatyards and marine businesses at work, for their websites, the boat show and recruiting. On land it photographs waterfront homes with the river or the lagoon balanced against the room, consistent portraits and office photos for the law and advisory firms near the courthouse, and downtown restaurants, shops, galleries, festivals and performances, delivered as an edited set. Palm City, Jensen Beach, Sewall’s Point and Hobe Sound are part of the same Martin County coverage, which adds brand and lifestyle shoots, restaurants and guest rooms, and fundraisers, galas and openings, and it photographs weddings in Stuart too. The studio is founder-led and based in Palm Beach County, about 41 miles south; video can be added to the same visit, and every photo is selected, color-corrected and cleaned up before you see it. Its latest published shoot was down the coast: in July 2026 it photographed and filmed Sovereign Self-Defense’s Keep America Armed gala in the PGA National Resort ballroom in Palm Beach Gardens and cut the highlight reel, What Patriotism Looks Like in 2026. In February 2024 it filmed and photographed a Deerfield Beach wedding, from the first look and the ceremony by the ocean to the reception, and delivered four films with the edited photos. By the site’s count: 10,000+ projects delivered, 4,500+ reviews, Top Rated on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating, and 99% on-time delivery.

“It has completely changed the way that we do business,” says Samantha Borgos of Sovereign Self-Defense, whose gala Mark Studios photographed and filmed.

Pros

  • Brokerage sets shot in the order a buyer walks the boat
  • Charter crews and catches at the dock, or aboard when the captain agrees
  • Stills and video from one booking, edited by one studio

Good to know

  • Not a family-portrait studio: no family, maternity, newborn or couples sessions (see the family, seniors and beach group)
  • Priced by written quote; no published photo prices
  • Based in Palm Beach County, with no studio in Stuart; every shoot is on location
  • No published delivery time for photos; your quote sets it

Family, seniors and beach portraits

Mark Studios doesn’t run family sessions. These two do, and both serve Martin County, as their own sites read on October 23, 2026: Dultmeier Photography from a studio in Stuart, with Palm City, Jensen Beach and Hobe Sound families among its clients, and Jessie Ebright across the Treasure Coast.

Diane Dultmeier is a former photojournalist who has photographed Treasure Coast families, high school seniors and professionals from Stuart for more than 25 years, and she writes that she is used to grown children, neurodiverse relatives, aging parents and teens who would rather not be photographed. The session happens wherever you choose: for Palm City families she names the open land of Palm City Farms, Justin Wilson Park, backyards and docks on the St. Lucie River, with the Hutchinson Island beaches a few minutes away, and her reviews come from Palm City, Hobe Sound and Stuart. The Portrait Experience fee is $950, covering the planning consultation, the session, editing, a guided viewing and ordering appointment, wall and album design, and local delivery and installation, and it carries a $600 credit toward the artwork; a weekend or holiday-week session is $1,250 with a $900 credit. Her Palm City page says most families end up spending more than $2,000 on finished pieces and suggests booking 8–10 weeks ahead. She also shoots headshots in her Stuart studio or outdoors in Stuart, Palm City, Sewall’s Point or Jensen Beach, 15–20 minutes for a headshot alone and 1–3 hours for a branding session.

Pros

  • Wall art and albums designed, delivered and hung for you
  • Experienced with neurodiverse family members and camera-shy teens
  • Studio headshots in Stuart too

Cons

  • Built around printed artwork; the digital files you get are watermarked social copies of the portraits you buy
  • Most families spend more than $2,000 in total

Mark Studios photographs Stuart’s firms, boatyards and downtown businesses itself. Jen Sampson has photographed weddings, families and commercial clients for more than 16 years, and her site calls downtown Stuart her home base; its tagline is “Stuart · Palm Beach · World Wide.” The commercial side covers restaurants, resorts and brands: food and beverage, products, and headshots and branding sets planned around where the pictures will be used, shot in the studio or on location with guidance on wardrobe, setting and posing. Palm & Ivy, one of the reviewers on her home page, says she has shot for its brand several times. The portrait side runs from surprise proposals, engagements and weddings to maternity, families, seniors, models and musicians. Her about page says every image is a real photograph of real people or products: she uses AI-assisted tools for small editing jobs but doesn’t generate images. Wedding pricing comes as a sheet on request, with no meeting required, and her Zola profile lists her in Stuart with weddings from $3,200 and elopements from $850.

Pros

  • Food, product and branding work as well as portraits
  • Says plainly that it doesn’t generate AI images

Wild Eyed Photography is Jessie and Chris, a husband-and-wife team who say on Zola that they live in Port St. Lucie and cover all of South Florida, and who now book New Mexico weddings as well; their site says they have photographed weddings as far away as Europe, Bali and Australia. Their pitch is the unposed side of the day, the intimate, messy and funny moments, and they say they are selective about the couples they take on. The home page gives weddings from $2,900, while the Zola profile lists full weddings from $3,200 and elopements from $2,000. The weddings featured on the site are in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Deerfield Beach, but Colab Gardens in Stuart lists them among its three preferred photographers.

Thumbtack’s Stuart photographer address returned a missing page on October 23, so the nearest page is Port Saint Lucie’s, which says “There are 73 five star Photographers in Port Saint Lucie, FL on Thumbtack”; every pro it showed first was marked as serving Port Saint Lucie, and the reviews further down included one for a business called Stuart Photography Company. Asking for estimates and booking cost nothing. Thumbtack’s cost guide puts the national average for a photographer at $358, usually $265–$483, with headshots at $304, portraits at $277, real estate at $305 and wedding and event photography at $756, and the Port Saint Lucie page gives $150–$200 as the national average for a family photographer. None of those is a Stuart price, so ask whether the pro’s quote includes the drive south.

How we built the Stuart list.

Mark Studios is our pick, and we wrote this list. Nobody paid to be on it. Our shoots are quoted per project.

Who's included
This list was built from directory, venue and provider pages rather than search results. On October 23, 2026 we read the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce’s photographers category, the preferred-vendor lists of two Martin County wedding venues (Shuckers at Island Beach Resort in Jensen Beach, whose list is a 2022 PDF linked from its weddings page, and Colab Gardens in Stuart), Zola’s Stuart wedding photographer page, Thumbtack’s Port Saint Lucie page, Eventective’s Stuart photographer page and the FindAPhotographer listing for Diane Dultmeier, then kept photographers whose own sites put them in or around Stuart, or whom a Stuart or Jensen Beach venue recommends. Dultmeier Photography, Sampson Photography and Houghton Photography are based in Stuart; Jessie Ebright is listed in Stuart on Zola; Wide Angle Photo Video is in the chamber’s photographers category; Houghton and Brad’s Creative Images are on the Shuckers list; Marco Photo Co. and Wild Eyed Photography are on Colab Gardens’ list; and Edwin Figueroa names Stuart on his site. We left out TRIS Studio, which the chamber lists in Stuart, because its own site says it books New England through early December and the Miami and Palm Beach areas in winter, and names no Stuart sessions; TLo Productions, in the same chamber category, whose site sells websites and marketing; Captured Memories and Frankie Moreno, on the Shuckers list with a phone number and no website to check; Zavack Photography and Ancora Photography, from the Shuckers and Colab lists, whose domains didn’t load on October 23; Kylie Braydyn Photography, listed in Stuart on Zola, whose site didn’t load either; Kayla Shenk Photography, also listed in Stuart on Zola, because her own site describes a wedding photographer for Miami, Palm Beach and eastern Florida without naming Stuart (her Zola price is in the Zola card); Jessica Meves Photography, a Treasure Coast family photographer, whose site showed our checker a bot challenge, so we couldn’t read it; Abby Grace Photography, because the site under that name belongs to a brand photographer in Washington, D.C.; Coastline Photography, for which we found no website; and Verola Studio, whose Stuart listing on Eventective belongs to a Vero Beach studio. Wide Angle Photo Video and Edwin Figueroa also appear on our Stuart videographer list, written there about their video work; the other Stuart video teams that also take photos, such as DeLucia Media and SPLASH Productions, we left on that list.
What we checked
On October 23, 2026 we read each photographer’s own site for where it works from, the sessions it offers, published prices, delivery and what a booking includes; the Zola profiles and chamber listings named on the cards; Thumbtack’s Port Saint Lucie page and cost guide; and, for the planning section, Discover Martin’s filming, film office and wildlife pages, the City of Stuart’s special events page and film permit application, Colab Gardens’ photography sessions page, and the FAA’s airport data for Witham Field and its Part 107 airspace authorization page. Where a photographer’s site and its Zola profile disagree on a price, the card gives both.
How it's ordered
By kind of shoot: family, seniors and beach portraits; headshots and business; real estate and waterfront homes; boats and fishing; weddings; then marketplaces. Alphabetical inside each group. Mark Studios is listed first as our pick; the others are not ranked against each other, and there are no scores.
What the data says

Among the Stuart-area photographers that post prices, a lifestyle hour starts at $550 with Jessie Ebright and a Dultmeier family Portrait Experience at $950 with a $600 print credit, against Thumbtack’s national $150–$200 for a family photographer. A listing starts at $175 for 30 HDR images with Edwin Figueroa or $245 with drone and a floor plan at Brad’s Creative Images, and wedding photography at $2,900 with Wild Eyed Photography. Frequently asked questions

Who is the best photographer in Stuart, FL?

For a Stuart charter, broker, boatyard, waterfront listing, firm or event, our pick is Mark Studios: it photographs on the dock, aboard and on location across Martin County, edits every image itself and can add video to the same booking. For family and senior portraits, which Mark Studios doesn’t run, Dultmeier Photography has a studio in Stuart and Jessie Ebright publishes her prices. For branding and food photos, Sampson Photography is based downtown; for listings, Brad’s Creative Images and Edwin Figueroa; for sport fishing, Wide Angle Photo Video; and for weddings, Houghton Photography in Stuart, or Marco Photo Co. and Wild Eyed Photography, the preferred photographers at Colab Gardens.

How much does a photographer cost in Stuart?

From the photographers’ own sites on October 23, 2026: a lifestyle session starts at $550 and maternity at $500 with Jessie Ebright; Dultmeier Photography’s family Portrait Experience fee is $950, including a $600 print credit; listing photos start at $175 for 30 HDR images with Edwin Figueroa and $245 with drone and a floor plan at Brad’s Creative Images; an office headshot starts at $299 with Brad’s or $125 on location with Edwin Figueroa; and wedding photography starts at $2,900 with Wild Eyed Photography and $3,000 with Jessie Ebright. Sampson, Wide Angle, Houghton, Marco and Mark Studios quote each job. Thumbtack’s national average for a photographer is $358, usually $265–$483.

How much do family photos cost in Stuart?

Dultmeier Photography charges a $950 Portrait Experience fee, $1,250 at weekends and in holiday weeks, which includes planning, the session, design and installation and a $600 or $900 credit toward prints, albums or wall art; its Palm City page says most families spend more than $2,000 on finished pieces. Jessie Ebright’s lifestyle sessions start at $550 for an hour with 35+ images in an online gallery, and maternity at $500. Thumbtack’s Port Saint Lucie page puts the national average for a family photographer at $150–$200, which isn’t a Stuart price.

Where can you take family photos in Stuart and Palm City?

The photographers here name a few places: Dultmeier Photography suggests the Hutchinson Island beaches, Justin Wilson Park, the open land of Palm City Farms, backyards and private docks on the St. Lucie River, and Jessie Ebright features an engagement session at Gilbert’s Bar. Colab Gardens in Stuart rents its gardens, orchard and barn for photo shoots by the half hour. Martin County needs no permit for a photo shoot on county property, but the beaches are sea turtle nesting grounds from March 1 to October 31, so book those sessions for daylight.

Do I need a permit for a photo shoot in Stuart?

On Martin County property, no: the county’s film office says commercial photo shoots don’t need a permit, which covers county land in Palm City, Jensen Beach and Hobe Sound; adding commercial video does. Inside the city limits, the City of Stuart’s film permit application for public property lists stills as a production type and asks for $1 million of liability cover, so check with the city’s special events office before a paid shoot on city property. Florida State Parks wants a photography permit when a shoot would disrupt other visitors, requested at least seven days ahead.

Does Mark Studios do family portraits?

No. Mark Studios photographs Stuart’s boats, waterfront homes, firms, downtown businesses, events and weddings, but it doesn’t run family, maternity, newborn or couples sessions. For those, see the family, seniors and beach group: Dultmeier Photography has a studio in Stuart, and Jessie Ebright works across the Treasure Coast. What it photographs in the city is on our Stuart photographer page.

Who photographs boats and fishing charters in Stuart?

Mark Studios photographs charter boats, captains, crews and anglers with their catch at the dock and, when the trip is planned with the captain, on board, and it shoots brokerage listings in the order a buyer walks the boat, from the profile to the helm, the cabins and the engines. Wide Angle Photo Video lists sport fishing among its specialties, shows the 2011 TCBA Fishing Tourney among its work and names Hurricane Boat Lifts and Sailfish Point Realty among its clients. For drone shots, remember that the FAA lists Witham Field, with its control tower, one mile southeast of Stuart.

How much does real estate photography cost in Stuart?

Brad’s Creative Images (BCI Real Estate Photo) charges $245 for HDR photos and drone for most Treasure Coast homes, with a 2D floor plan included, or $349 for its Full Monty package. Edwin Figueroa Photography charges $175 for up to 30 HDR images, $275 for up to 45 with aerials and $515 with a Matterport tour, plus $140 for five twilight images. Thumbtack’s national average for real estate photography is $305. Mark Studios photographs waterfront homes so the river or the lagoon stays visible next to the room, and quotes each shoot.

Who is a good photographer in Jensen Beach?

Shuckers at Island Beach Resort in Jensen Beach keeps a preferred-vendor list, and Houghton Photography from Stuart is one of its recommended photographers, with Brad’s Creative Images also on it. Dultmeier Photography photographs families across the Treasure Coast, Jensen Beach included, and offers outdoor headshots there; Wide Angle Photo Video names Jensen Beach among the towns it covers. Mark Studios photographs businesses, waterfront homes, events and weddings in Jensen Beach as part of its Martin County coverage.
