Best-of list

Best We Edit Podcasts alternatives in 2026

The best We Edit Podcasts alternative for most shows that publish on video is Mark Studios. We Edit Podcasts' video plan costs $1,800 a month for four episodes of up to 60 minutes ($980 for two), and it's built on its Basic video edit, which leaves recordings from two or more cameras to its Premium tier and lists no clips. Mark Studios switches every camera to whoever is talking and cuts a captioned clip set from every episode, at a fixed price per episode before the edit starts or on monthly plans from $750, and Mark Santos reviews the work before it ships.

How this list works: Mark Studios publishes it and ranks its own service, so this is not an independent review. Every other option’s facts come from its own site, with the date we checked (how we compared). Our pick

For most video podcasts, the We Edit Podcasts alternative to pick is Mark Studios.

We Edit Podcasts builds its packages around the audio edit: the monthly video plan is its Basic audio edit, its Basic video edit and uploading, for two or four episodes. Mark Studios starts from the picture, with the full episode cut across every camera and the clips taken from the same timeline, and you talk to the person who reviews it.

  • Multicam in the standard edit. On We Edit Podcasts' own video price table, Basic (the edit inside its $980 and $1,800 plans) covers side-by-side interviews recorded on an online platform, while recordings from two or more cameras and 4K are Premium, from $550 an episode with a 96-hour turnaround. Mark Studios syncs every camera to the audio and switches to whoever is speaking on every episode.
  • Clips cut with the episode. The plans on its pricing page list no clips; videograms are an add-on from $130 each, and 5 short clips per episode come only with its $3,800-a-month Growth retainer. Mark Studios cuts a clip set from every episode, picked by a person and captioned word by word.
  • Your own footage first, and a direct line. We Edit Podcasts sells a trial episode ($250 for a Basic video edit), routes feedback through a client manager by email and, per its About page, doesn't give clients direct access to editors. Mark edits one of your recordings free before you pay, and you deal with him directly; he has edited for his own YouTube channel since 2011. Mark Studios is Top Rated on Fiverr with a 4.9★ rating, 8,000+ orders and 99% on time.

The baseline

What We Edit Podcasts sells, and where its own pages disagree

We Edit Podcasts (We Edit Podcasts Ltd., founded in 2015 by Carli van Heerden; its terms are governed by Canadian law) now calls itself a B2B video podcast production and growth company. Its About page describes 50+ people working remotely in 9 countries, and its homepage counts 4,000+ customers. Its pricing page, read October 25, 2026 with the 2 Episodes and 4 Episodes tabs both clicked, sells three monthly packages: Audio Editing at $440 a month for two episodes or $800 for four; Video Editing (its Basic audio edit plus its Basic video edit) at $980 or $1,800; and Writing (the audio edit with show notes and a transcript) at $900 or $1,640. Each covers episodes up to 60 minutes, multi-track sync, intros, outros and ads, noise reduction, volume matching, episode uploading, a 72-hour turnaround, a dedicated editor and same-day email support in working hours. The checkout adds launch packages ($999–$4,499), cover art ($699–$999), an audio intro and outro ($699–$999) and video bumpers ($999).

For a video show, what Basic covers is the detail to check. The video price table starts Basic at $230 an episode with a 72-hour turnaround: audio and video sync, up to 10 editing notes, two animated lower thirds, and side-by-side interviews recorded on an online platform such as Riverside or Zoom. Recordings from two or more cameras, 4K, advanced transitions, requested overlays and light sound design are Premium, from $550 an episode in 96 hours. Clips are sold separately: videograms from $130, audiograms and YouTube thumbnails from $70, quote cards from $45. The same video page also lists three retainers: Essentials at $1,990 a month (up to 4 episodes, Basic video, show notes, a transcript, cover art and distribution setup), Growth at $3,800 (up to 6 episodes, Premium multi-cam video, 5 short clips per episode and monthly host coaching) and Revenue Partner at $7,500 (unlimited episodes, a senior producer and help booking guests). A trial episode costs $250 for Basic video editing or $600 for Premium, and credits packages, not tied to a month, suit shows that publish irregularly.

Its FAQ says monthly plans carry no contract and can be cancelled any time before the renewal date; a subscription rebills on the same day each month and its episodes don't roll over. Feedback goes to a client manager by email, and files move through shared Dropbox or Google Drive folders. Revisions are free when it didn't follow your instructions, plus one set of changes that weren't in your original notes; later rounds are charged, as are changes to show notes and transcripts after delivery. Its terms, last updated December 21, 2022, allow one podcast per subscription, put unmonitored subscription charges on the account holder with no refund, and make the artwork, intros, outros and audio content you paid for your property.

Where its pages disagree. Seven places, all read the same day:

  • The price of video. The pricing page sells video at $980 for two episodes and $1,800 for four; the video page lists per-episode rates from $230 and $550 and retainers from $1,990; the trial page charges $250 and $600 for the same Basic and Premium edits.
  • Clips. The video page says each recording becomes a full episode, 5 short clips, show notes, a transcript and mastered audio, “all delivered in 72-96 hours”; no plan on the pricing page lists clips, and on the video page only the $3,800 Growth retainer does.
  • Multicam. The same page describes the full-length episode as “multi-cam or single-cam”, but its price table keeps two-camera recordings for Premium, and the plans on the pricing page are Basic.
  • Turnaround. The plan cards promise 72 hours; the pricing FAQ says edited episodes are back within 48 hours; the video page gives 72 hours for Basic and 96 for Premium, excluding weekends, beside a “96hrs Turnaround Guarantee” counter; the terms make the “72 Hour Return” subject to a reasonable-use clause decided by management.
  • Revisions. The video page says “We revise anything that's not right, no charge, no questions”; its FAQs limit free changes to its own mistakes plus one set, and the audio price table gives Basic 1 round and Premium 2.
  • The guarantee. The FAQs offer a 14-day money-back guarantee if you aren't happy; the terms say 15 days and that the company first checks that “all conditions” are met; the homepage promises a “100% Satisfaction Guarantee.”
  • Your editor. Every plan card lists a “Dedicated Editor Working on your show”; the pricing FAQ says it tries to pair an editor with your show, and the About page says clients can't contact editors directly.

What We Edit Podcasts does well

  • Episodes up to 60 minutes inside a published monthly price
  • Audio editing, show notes and human transcripts from one company
  • Uploading in every package, with launch, artwork and voice-over services at the same checkout
  • No contract on monthly plans, and credits for irregular schedules

Why buyers look elsewhere

  • The video plans are Basic: two-camera recordings and 4K are Premium, from $550 an episode
  • No clips in the $980 and $1,800 plans; videograms from $130 each
  • No direct contact with your editor, and changes beyond one set are charged
  • Its own pages disagree on turnaround, clips, revisions and the refund window

Leaving We Edit Podcasts: what to settle before the next rebill.

Taken from We Edit Podcasts' terms of service (last updated December 21, 2022), its pricing FAQ and its process page, read October 25, 2026. The rebill date drives everything else, so start there.

  1. Send the cancellation before the rebill date

The FAQ asks you to cancel before your renewal date, and the terms say you end the account with a termination request through its contact page or support@weeditpodcasts.com. Subscriptions rebill on the same day each month, and the terms rule out refunds on charges left unmonitored.

  2. Use the month's episodes first

Subscription episodes don't roll over or build up, so submit whatever is left of the month before the cancellation takes effect. Credits packages aren't tied to a month, so check which one you're on.

  3. Copy everything out of the completed folder

Finished files land in the completed folder of the shared Dropbox or Google Drive you set up at the start. Save every episode, video and written file to storage you control.

  4. Collect the show assets you paid for

Its terms say the artwork, intros, outros, video bumpers and audio content made for your show belong to you once paid for. Ask for the files themselves, including the intro music and voice-over, so the next editor can reuse them.

  5. Take back access to your host and channel

Every package includes episode uploading, so it may hold a login or a user seat on your podcast host or YouTube channel. Remove it once the last episode it edits has gone out.

  6. Write down what your plan covered

Note your episode length, camera count, ad reads and how many editing notes you send (Basic allows 10), plus any add-ons, so a new quote covers the same work. If you just signed up, the money-back window is 14 days in the FAQ and 15 in the terms.

Best for: Every camera switched to the speaker and a captioned clip set from each episode, reviewed by the founder

Model
A fixed price per episode by quote, or monthly plans
Stated turnaround
5–7 business days per episode, rush available; up to 7 business days per plan deliverable
Revisions
3 rounds, each back in 24–72 hours
Commitment
Plans are month to month; cancel online
Files
You own the final files on payment; source files on request as a paid add-on

Compared with We Edit Podcasts, Mark Studios edits a podcast as a video first and prices the episode you actually recorded. Send each camera's file and each microphone's track, and you get back the full 16:9 episode with every camera synced to the audio and switched to whoever is speaking, wide shots and reaction cutaways, each voice cleaned and leveled, your intro, outro and guest lower thirds, an episode thumbnail, and a set of 9:16 clips picked by a person from the same timeline and captioned word by word (many shows run 5–10). The episode gets a fixed price in the instant quote, worked out from its length, its camera count and how many clips you want, before any editing starts. Shows that post every week can use a monthly plan; on our plans page, read October 25, 2026, they are Starter at $750/month (a long-form edit, 4 shorts, 2 thumbnails), Growth at $2,000/month (4 YouTube videos, 8 Shorts, 4 thumbnails, titles and SEO), Scale at $2,700/month (4 long-form edits, 24 shorts, 8 thumbnails, a priority queue and a monthly content plan) and Unlimited at $3,500/month (one request at a time, each with a first draft inside 3 business days). Each long-form edit on a plan assumes up to 15 minutes of raw footage, so an hour-long episode is normally quoted on its own. Before you pay anything, Mark edits one of your recordings free (up to 15 minutes of footage). Mark Santos, who has edited for his own YouTube channel since 2011, scopes the work, writes your style spec and reviews every video before it ships, and when you email, he answers. Remote shows recorded on video calls are fine, podcast networks and agencies can have episodes delivered white-label under an NDA, and the studio films podcasts on location in Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties and travels to shoots elsewhere with the trip quoted.

Where it beats We Edit Podcasts

  • Every camera switched to the speaker in the standard edit; studio multicam is Premium there, from $550 an episode
  • A captioned clip set from every episode, where its plans list none and videograms start at $130
  • An episode thumbnail in the edit; its YouTube thumbnails are a $70+ add-on
  • A free edit of your own recording, against a paid trial episode
  • You deal with Mark directly; it routes feedback through a client manager by email
  • 3 revision rounds per deliverable, against one free set of changes there

Where We Edit Podcasts wins

  • Speed: 72 hours on its Basic plans, against 5–7 business days here
  • Hour-long episodes inside a published monthly price; here a full episode is quoted, and plan edits assume 15 minutes of footage
  • Audio-only shows: its audio plan is $440 for two episodes, and our podcast page says an audio-only feed isn't our fit
  • Uploading, show notes and human transcripts in its packages; posting is quoted separately here

A weekly hour-long show therefore pays $1,020 there against We Edit Podcasts' $1,800 for four. Every video edit comes with the edited audio version, multi-camera editing in 4K, an intro bumper and sponsor reads, and a full listen-through by a person, and revisions are free and unlimited. Reels and shorts start at $20, a video intro and outro at $120, and its launch packages cost $375 or $800. How this list was put together.

Mark Studios wrote this page and ranks itself first. No provider paid to appear, and we also sell on Fiverr, which is listed. Our card shows the published monthly plan prices; full episodes are priced in the instant quote.

Who's included
Services a We Edit Podcasts buyer is likely to weigh: podcast editors priced by the episode (Next Day Podcast, Podcast Magician), B2B podcast agencies selling the kind of retainer its video page now describes (Fame, Podigy, Resonate Recordings), editing subscriptions with a podcast service (Clipmasters, Editvideo.io), Tasty Edits for per-episode video pricing, and Fiverr and Upwork for hiring an editor yourself. Each edits video podcasts and either publishes a price or says how you buy.
What we checked
We Edit Podcasts' pricing page (2 Episodes and 4 Episodes tabs), video and audio service pages with their price tables, trial page, marketing add-ons, checkout, process page, About page, homepage and terms of service, and each alternative's own pricing and podcast pages, all read on October 25, 2026 (Next Day Podcast with its Video + Audio tab and each length clicked, Clipmasters with each billing tab, Tasty Edits with its vertical tab): billing model, lowest published price, episode length covered, clips, turnaround, revisions and commitment. Prices change without notice, so check the linked page before you sign up.
How it's ordered
Our own card is first because it's our pick. The other ten sit in five groups, from closest to We Edit Podcasts' model to furthest: podcast editors priced by the episode, B2B podcast agencies, editing subscriptions, per-episode pricing and marketplaces. Within a group they're alphabetical; nothing beyond that is ranked.
What the numbers say
